It’s between tayport and leuchars and the nudist bit is closer to the leuchars end it’s like a ten to fifteen minute wander from the car park

Should be keeping the place quiet. Not posting it on here. I want it all to myself.

PRECISELY! Police and local residents/media involved ........all of a sudden you feel almost 'branded' and pre judged merely for going there....I understand its a beautiful beach too ....

Fact is; this is a Family and dog walking beach and it is used daily by families.

There are two locations for sunbathing as described above

1; you walk onto the beach turn right (towards St. Andrews) and walk well over a mile towards Leuchars airfield this is location 1.

2; you park up, turn left before getting on beach and walk well over a mile possibly 2 miles until the beach is fenced off, bathers go over fence into the dunes, or stay on this side and sunbathe in the dunes.

If you walk onto the beach strip off and sunbath outwith these points many beach users will be calling the police immediately and the police do turn up as this beach is well known to the police.

If you visit.....use common sense.

Are you for real. Why don’t you just give the actual grid point reference!!! Ffs

You should have said, When you leave the car park, go straight ahead and you’ll find the water , entrrr the water and keep on going

The fact that this beach has a nudist area is common knowledge and is already widely published on Uk nudist forums. The idea that posting it here will get the cops interested is quite frankly laughable.

Some of you really ought to pull your (wife’s) knickers out your arses.

The fact is, this is a family and dog walking beach, if you turn up and strip off you are more likely to get a kicking from an angry parent before any police arrive. You are obviously either not local or not a frequent visitor. There are two areas that are commonly used

But if you arrive, walk onto the beach and strip off naked I suspect you will get a kicking before your trousers are even down.

have a nice day now.

Nobody should ever go to Tentsmuir for any reason. It's just ugly, fully clothed people volunteering to pick up garbage from the rocky shore and the sun never shines. You can't swim because of the sharks and jelly fish. Vicious marauding gulls will shit on you and steal your sandwiches. There are monsters in the forest.

I understand your point but isn't it more that it is overt sexual action and the related litter that causes the adverse publicity?

I talk up my local nude beaches both here in Yorkshire and back in Ireland and occasionally get the same criticism but always stress the need for discretion when having sex.

We have though to spread the word as to where we can go both to get naked in public and also have sex.

You’re right. It’s common knowledge. And as you say is actually promoted on several naturist websites.

But it’s the blatant sexual activity of the numbskulls , there are a few , who will spoil it for the majority.

Near Perth (not in Perth)

I don't live near tentsmuir beach. I hadn't live here long when I knew about it. Back then my then girlfriend, her teenage son and her friend and I were out for the day. On the way home tin the evening one of them chirped up, "oh tentsmuir beach is along here. Let's go and wind up the doggers and the gay perverts!" I was driving so said ok, we will then. Knowing fine well they were all talk. They encouraged me not to but I carried. When we got there the car park at the end of the little narrow road was totally empty. It was a nice summers day, but at the car park it was cold. After walking up the short path to the beach it was very windy and went back to the car for our jumpers and jackets. On returning to the beach it was wide, easy firm sand to walk on but quite a lot of dog toilet. We walked to the right for about ten minutes, took some group photos and tried returning to the car with the cold strong wind in our faces which blew sand in our eyes. When we got to the car park uh oh! Two police officers were looking into our car. We all started laughing. They were ok with us and advised us to not leave anything on display in this car park again as it could get stolen. One officer then asked to speak with me separately. He was asking if I knew the area well. When I said no he advised me of illegal outdoor sexual activity between men and women in the car park and surrounding area and further along the beach by those in the homosexual community! I started laughing and called my girlfriend over. He said the same again, and as she laughed she said, oh don't worry that's my son with us. We were actually joking about it in the car and he (me) drove in about half an hour ago to wind us up. The officer replied with, yes we seen you come in from over there (wherever that was) and come back for your jackets. He then said, now don't take this the wrong way but we've had to take note of your vehicle details but we think this is all perfectly innocent. When we left there was so much bravado in the car then from the others. Then almost at the end of the narrow road a marked police stopped in front of us and put the blue lights on. An officer approached asking where we've just come from with I'd say a little aggression. I got out of the car and told him to speak to his mates in the black beener (BMW). The driver jumped out because I had jumped out, seconds later after speaking to the first two cops they said, ok carry on sir.

This was about 15 years ago. Take this info as you wish.

I used to live near here and visited it as children, I would hate to think it's now being spoiled by doggers etc. It's a family beach and should be treated as such.

It is a stunning place.

But unfortunately the minority spoil it for the majority.

Nothing wrong with being a naturist. As the word suggests. It’s natural.

But it’s gotta be done. Sensibly

Yep you got it right. All of my ex girlfriends, absolutely all of them, they claim they are not against homosexuality plus they have gay and lesbian friends so they cant be. And yet i found they were "all" clearly homophobic when it comes to men having sex with men. Two of these women were bisexual. I agree with the following emoji . I am now very careful with conversations with women. On way too many occasions have i witnessed how they say one thing publicly and the total opposite privately. And also on too many occasions have my ex's and/or their friends told me who is secretly gay, so dont say anything! Its a secret!

And some of these local gay/bi guys were secretly outed through being found on gay websites like this one - by women coming on with fake profiles. Its how i found out about this site and fabswingers.

How do you know when you're there? Like.. any landmarks? I presume one stretch of dune looks exactly like the rest? When do you know you've gone far enough?

Hope someone can answer soon.. thinking of going tomorrow as the forecast is awesome

Because some folk stupidly misbehave in the open then it does attract some plod attention. I have seen guys playing with themselves approach folk who are just walking through its nuts and asking for trouble.

Remember it is a public space so fun should be restricted to the less open areas not everyone there is looking.

Last time I was there, around April the dunes were flooded. It was a long walk to find your way into the beach. Didn’t see anyone noticeably cruising, which I was grateful for as I was in family mode.

Lovely beach though.
