Look like nothing.... Labour are cutting this bloated and massively abused scheme to supply cars for the disabled thank goodness.

About time the schene was looked into. Cars should be limited to basic transport suitable for the user, not flash cars to impress the neighbours. One of my neighbours once complaind that he had to keep his for three years. Told him he could hand it back and buy his own - he didn't seem amused!

What a narrow minded person you are, you do realise the disabled are not given these cars, they actually pay for them

I recently stayed at an AirBnB where the host was a brilliant sportswoman with many medals. After a car accident she was no longer able to compete or even move easily. In her 30s she was now dependent on the NHS and the meagre benefits system. She fights every day against the odds to remain independent.

Her motability car provides vital transport and quality of life.

Absolutly anyone through accident, illness like a stroke, or some other condition could find themselves disabled.

I'm sick of imitation puppet politicians funded by wealthy Dubai based tax exiles demeaning some of the most vulnerable people in our country. That Labour joins in is a bloody disgrace.

That much I agree with. What I din't agree with is a friend getting a top of the range car because his son is disabled. The son doesn't need leather, heated seats, even if dad has to pay a lump sum to get the car. It should be limited to what is NEEDED to get the lad around

How do you know what his son needs or doesn’t need? Are you a doctor? People pay extra for higher spec cars from their own money . Often up to 4k. The only people that’s making any money from these cars is the large banks that own Motability. Hope you don’t need too use the Motability scheme in the future. I think you will find disabled people would trade their ( FANCY) car for health any day of the week.

When alcoholics and junkies can get a subsidised car that we pay for so they can get shit faced and go out on the road at our expense then something has gone seriously wrong.

Follow the money on that one.

Another political ponzi scheme for the few wrapped up as kindness to be abused to make some people very rich.

The cars supplied should be at the very bottom of the car price lists such as an MG or a Dacia or even an appoved second hand one, not executive brands.

I don’t like MGs or Dacia. I’ll stick with my Volvo V90 thanks very much 👍
