Following on from the Lane topic, wondered if anyone went to Relax on Union Street Glasgow. It was handy for my work. Would go there at lunchtime and alway managed to find a cocksucker.fairly set you up for the second part of the day

I used to go to RELAX every week, usually a Monday or Tuesday. Nice friendly guy that ran it. Always had fun with somebody even though it was quiet some days. Miss it.

Centurian moved and became Eros. Both were fun until Eros got an alcohol licence and people abused it. Pity as it had a good layout. Found my boss being spit roasted in Eros one Friday. Luckily he went back to work and I stayed on to enjoy myself

"any you guys remember Club Eros on Bridge street "

Paul who co-owned RelaxCentral told me they were very busy 12 noon to 2pm weekdays because of the married men popping in during their lunch hour

Club Eros was previously called Centurion and was above the Sommerfield at St Enoch square. Used to go to the Sat overnight. The Sunday breakfast was called "Scran at Centurion" Co-owner was previously police and owned ENORMOUS dogs.

It's a pity Pipeworks now has the monopoly I had been to Eros when it was over the river and at St Epochs, the lane as well

Eros was brilliant, went there for many a Sunday afternoon session as well as the occasional weekday evening. I found Relax not long before it closed. Both were good, not always the busiest but the guys who went to both were generally just there for hot fun.

I loved the cinema room in relax, had a few group sessions in there. And I liked the individual shower cubicles as it was a good place to freshen up thoroughly before playing.

Pipeworks is good but there are too many posers and watchers there. I like uncomplicated guys who just want to play.

Relax central was the first sauna I ever attended, a mate introduced me to it, and had many a good time in there, I just wish I had went a bit more often.

Just seeing someone talk about No.18 and it made me think of this place. Used to travel through every couple of months for business in Glasgow and I woukd pop in at lunchtime.

Always remember this big bear taking me into one of the private rooms and we spent about 30 mins in there and he gave me a very tender education! Never saw him again but often think of him!

The Lane and Relax were both good but I’d never been to the one over the river. Big loss to only be left with Pipeworks I think. Too much involved cost wise to imagine seeing another open?

Anyone recall a bar, I think it was on either Hope or Renfield St near the Cowcaddens end, began with an A?

Sorry, but vague but I recall it being a well known gay bar from a long time ago before I’d had any mansex. Just wondering if it’s still open?

That’s it….oh my, I’m a bit out of touch then..!!

I was in it once on a weekday afternoon , years before I’d ever had the courage to actually have sex with a guy.

I remember my heart was pounding just because I was in a gay bar..!!

"Seem to remember one over the water, can't remember the name. Ground floor building. "

.

Club EROS it was called, in Bridge Street just at the end of the bridge. Building is now a private dentist I think.

Same people who had Centurion, above Sommerfield across the road from St Enoch tube station. Centurion went in to receivership, I think, and re-emerged as Club Eros. I think it changed name again - maybe after another Receivership hiccup - and the name had Black in it but for the life of me I can't remember the name

Think Eros renamed at Schwartz or something like that. German for black. Got themselves an alcohol licence and couldn't control guys who had too much. Too many complaints and that was the end of it

Only Pipeworks in Glasgow and Steamworks in Edinburgh left as reliable saunas. See recent posts re Bacchus in Dundee. They only seem to open when the mood takes them so if you are not local probably not worth the travel

So it was! Well remembered. Strange how the mind works, mine 'remembering' Black in the name. Maybe it was a reference to the colour of the water in the Jacuzzi downstairs

I think it was also another Receivership hiccup which did for them.

It always fascinates me these places letting people in alcohol imbued. Potential for trouble on so many levels. Pipeworks has stickers on lockers asking people to watch out for / report people bringing in their own alcohol

.

The Lane was done for when the building got sold

"Wasn’t there one, AJ’s or something like that on York Street. It was small and wasn’t around all that long I don’t think. "

Yes it got raided by police and closed down .

I remember going in late afternoon and it was quiet , I was only one left at about 4.30pm , it usually closed at 7pm . The guy said he was going to close early as no one else seemed to be coming in . I said well how’s about a refund as I have only been in less than an hour , he said he couldn’t do that , but locked the door and proceeded to face fuck me then rode me hard . I didn’t complain .

No. That was Centurion. When it lost the lease it moved across the river and became Eros. That became Schwartz after a 'restructuring' then closed.

Yes, run by the guys who had AJ's. Aimed at the TV/CD and Drag market as a private members club. Remember thinking the membership was very expensive. Went once as a day visitor but not my thing at all. Didn't last very long
