Use silicon rings until you get used to wearing one. Silicon will stretch a wee bit and give you more comfort if you intend to wear it for a longer time. Another option is a 'cock strap'. A bit like a belt, usually tree or four studs to let you have it as tight as you want

Not graduated to metal yet and have used various silicone types from basic stretch rings to cock slings.

I began with one too big and from than smaller and smaller till the moment it has to stop. There is a moment you have to be sure that they always could get away in case of a problem. The result you can see at the pics.
