I'm currently in a poly/open relationship so I'll weigh in with my experience.

First off open relationships are Not for everyone and they only work if everyone is on the same page.

Despite what many think you can still cheat in an open relationship. Being poly/open doesn't mean you get a free pass to fuck anyone.

If you're looking for actual relationships instead of just sex then be prepared to deal with jealousy. Splitting your time equally among partners is a challenge.

I currently have 2 partners, used to be 3 but things got messy and we cut them off. Now we are a throuple and things are amazing.

As mentioned, this will not work for everyone. All parties need to be committed or it doesn't work. But if you can make it work it's rewarding physically and mentally.

Was with a man for many years. Became more open as time passed. I was never worried about fidelity etc. Thought we were fairly honest with each other. Enjoyed playing together and separately.

Was surprised though that after we finished we had both done lots we hadn’t told each other.

I suppose the worst possible scenario is when one want to be open and the other doesn’t!
