I was thinking that maybe we could all agree to meet somewhere in Glasgow on a certain day and time. For instance, the best place would be the Waterloo bar during the day on weekdays.

The Waterloo is fairly quiet during the day. Perhaps we could have some sort of identification, like a newspaper, to show that we're from fabguys?

What's your thoughts on that idea?

I think the Waterloo would be a great meeting point for Fabguys.

"I think the Waterloo would be a great meeting point for Fabguys. "

So a social meet is on the cards. Obviously there may be splits in the group if you're looking for a specific type of guy, maybe you don't like you see in one fellow, so you'll probably find that we'd separate into different groups - that's assuming a lot of guys turn up.

Once we have a group we feel comfortable with (probably just one on one), then the fun starts and we can arrange meets.

All pie in the sky at the moment, but I'd love to walk into the Waterloo bar tomorrow and see one or two people reading The Times (it doesn't have to be all of us).

Will probably end up pie in the sky but I'd be up for it sometime.

Well, let's find out. Who's free tomorrow at 3pm?

So you take a chance, walk into the Waterloo bar, grab a pint, sit down and do the crossword in the Glasgow Times.

If no one shows up or approaches you, at least you can have a quiet pint.

Good luck with the crossword - 3 down - no show

Well, no real commitment, just a kind offer to host.

OK, I'll pop into the Waterloo Bar on Monday around 3pm, sitting with a pint of lager and doing the Evening Times crossword.

So anybody who enjoys the company of an older guy is welcome to join me. We can chat and perhaps arrange something later.
