Austin’s was one of the first gay bars I ever went to with a fake ID haha

Loved Sadie Frosts

the GLC Cafe Bar… they did a great hangover fry up

Bennets

The Court Bar where you could buy aromas haha

Loved Revolver Bar when it opened circa 2000/2001

You could go out with £20 and it would last all night haha

Anyone remember Squires in the West End? (At least I think it was geographically the West End, as I said I'm not a Glasweigen) A basement bar, when I firstly started going up to Glasgow from Ardrossan in 1994, I got the addresses of the bars from phoning up the Gay and lesbian switchboard from a phonebox five miles away! (I was too paranoid to use the home phone, even when my mother was out)

The three I started going to were Austin’s, The Waterloo and Squires, it was nearly always empty when I went, probably why it wasn't there for much longer.

Cant really remember Squires heard if it was it in Bath street? But had a few good nights in Waterloo. Revolver(now Underground) was good when it opened

I’ve heard of Squire’s but never been there myself. There was a place called Berlin or The Berlin, but closed before i started going out in my mid teens.

I made some really good mates from GLC cafe and the youth project within the centre!

This was back in the day where age of consent was 21, section 28 (or 2a) was in full swing! Major was out, Blair was in… it was meant to be progress but it was very fucking slow
