Getting PREP

Trying to get an appt for prep at sandyford but there are no appointments.

Been trying for 2 weeks now and can't get one. Website just says we have no appointments try again later like it's a bloody computer game.

They want us all to take care of our sexual Health but close half the places, restrict hours and make it impossible to get an appointment.

Is there anywhere else to get it?

They even had the cheek to message me a few days ago telling me my check up was due and to book an appoint.

Im bloody trying.

I’ve just had my checkup, phoned my clinic on Thursday and got an appointment, I don’t book on line I just phone, never had any problems. Why don’t you phone and say the online service won’t let you book.

I’ve never had a problem in the Scottish Borders .. appointment within a week… www.borderssexualhealth.org.uk

They didn’t ask for an address so I presume you could get an appointment if your willing to travel to the borders

I always phone and ask for a cancellation my last one had to drive to Sandyford Parkhead, from the west end but it's not that far, so it was fine

I have had it explained that they can all only offer service to residents in their own area. Found this out when I tried to get tested whwn away from home..

Sandyford visit the Pipeworks Sauna in Glasgow nearly every Wednesday and it's free. Check the Pipeworks website out, you'll see Sandyford has a page. No appointment necessary, just go to Pipeworks reception.

Now I don't know if you have to be a Pipeworks member, but a quick phone call will soon tell you.

No, you don't have to be a Pipeworks member and there is no entry charge if you are only there to see Sandyford staff. Used to be twice monthly but check with Pipeworks in case timings have changed

Always check the website after 5 on a Thursday, that's when new appointments become available, I usually get one for the next week if you don't mind going to any of the clinics.

Will try Thursday for a Sandy appt.

Pipeworks is only STD testing can't do prep reviews there.
