Scotland's best Beach

Berwick upon Tweed/East lothian/Edinburgh

For all us beach lovers I hear Seacliff Beach just east of North Berwick in East Lothian has just been voted the best in Scotland. Its sited in a shallow bay with Turquoise blue water backed by woods, Tantallon Castle on the cliffs at one end, the Uk's smallest harbour is there, views of the Bass Rock and over to Fife. It was a just the opinion of one judge but in my opinion a its truly magical place. Anything worth recommending near you ?

Bo’ness

I had a week staying in Pease Bay last year near Dunbar. I wouldn’t say it’s the best but the sunrise was superb. Lots of surfing at 7am too

Interesting that they are all mainland beaches. There are loads of beautiful beaches in the islands many very quiet and hardly visited. Often with secluded dunes (!)

Once cycled down the hill to Pease Bay but stopped before the ford

Yes it is a big hill. Shame though because being by the Ford you were close to the beach
