"I know pipeworks does a clinic on a Wednesday. Do you need an appointment or can you just walk in? " Walk in and they give you the testing kit at reception when you arrive. When they’re ready for you, they’ll shout your number over the Tannoy for you to go to the bar with your testing kit. It can be easy to miss that call (I did) so listen carefully!

"Excuse the daft question as never been there but do they tell the results on the day or send them to you etc " Think they send them by text or emdil link. Thats how Sandyford usually do it anyway

In terms of results, I had a reference number from previous testing at Sandyford and before that the GLC. You then phone a number about 10 days later to key in your reference number to get automated results. I had assumed any newbies would also be allocated a "customer number" to punch in to the auto response thing. I also got an email because one of my samples wasn't good enough for testing (I didn't manage enough pee, to save you wondering) Being given the test kit at Reception is a change from when I went. Also, they told me the expected waiting time so I went wandering and was back at the bar 20 mins before they said I might be called. In the event, I waited half hour, slurping tea, to be shouted. The tea didn't help, see above. But the nurse gave me the kits. Maybe this is a change to get more people through. It is also worth noting that when I went, you didn't HAVE to pay an entrance fee for Pipeworks either. You could go for testing only and wait in the bar for your slot. That, too, may have changed. Plotting to go Friday afternoon. If I go, I'll ask Reception what is what and post an addendum if necessary. The "Events" page for the testing says: For the most up to date information on drop in clinics, dates & times, please check our facebook events page or the Sandyford website.
