Any affordable hotels around Edinburgh (well, that's another debate in itself...) left where you could reach the bedroom floors without a key card..? Seems harder n harder now..

They all cracking down on entry . They are aware of what goes on . Most even have card entry into lifts . Have to go past reception in all

I’ve seen a hint that you ask for 2 keycards, then leave one under your car wiper, if you invite someone give them your reg number and they can get straight up.

Even if someone found it, they wouldn’t know your room number.

Yeaah I'd heard similar. Could also hide the key even within the hotel if there's no carpark. When there's a horn there's a way I guess!
