Where's the best place when coming off the M8 to park a non LEZ compliant car for visiting Pipeworks for a few hours

Ayr

If you're coming from the south I would come off at plantation towards the Quay and work your way along the south of the river towards the court and then walk over the bridge, nighttime/ evening parking over there won't be very safe tho, from the north I think you need to come off for Alexandra parade and I think High street my be the edge of the zone. Again not great areas for evening/ late parking. Good luck and enjoy your time there.

Drive down High St. Once you pass Trongate and the Tron clock, any street on your left will be ok.

Until he gets the fine for driving along High Street

High Street is IN the LEZ zone, yes it's the eastern boundary, but still part of it.

Cumbernauld-ish

You can come off at the royal infirmary, towards the cathedral then turn left at the museum of religion towards the tennents brewery, left then right towards barrowlands and park near there but you're right on the edge of the LEZ so be careful.
