where is good to meet other guys?

CJs is pretty mainstream, like wise The Street.

I’ve not tried Planet.

Am I missing anywhere?

ps if any cute/ fit younger guys want to ask me out on a date, just ask 😉

The Regent is good for a casual drink in a LGBT friendly environment

Used to be the place I’d sneak to on a night out for some male attention. Gutted it’s shut

Gay Bars in Edinburgh...

Planet (formerly Planet Out). Fun friendly Party Disco Bar in the evening and relaxed friendly bar during the day - well run by the awesome Cilla Slack and the lazy partner John - with numerous Event Nights and Promotions throughout the week. And the No.1 Venue in town during Pride and other annual events. Also connected to the local Spa Venue.

CC Blooms. Recently Reinvented to accommodate the increasing numbers wanting to visit. And pay for the privilege!

The Street. Always Stylish and Relaxed but lively. And a great basement Nightclub.

The Regent. Very relaxed Bar open to all LGBTQxZ-Gen types with regular Theme Nights for particular Groups and Fetishes.

The Prom Bar. LGBT Friendly evenings

The StarBar. Was always the TV friendly Bar but welcomes all LGBT. Probably more Str8 than Gay now.

The Canny Man's. Always ask for an Espresso Martini and they will show you the most memorable attitude to LGBTQXZ-GEN individual's and groups!

------- ------- -------

No Longer here...

# Habana - can still smell DazGlaz there

# Chalkys - enormous loss

# Laughing Duck

# Frenchies, not old enough to remember

# Key West - gosh! Can't discuss!

# NewTown Bar - I worked there a few shifts

# Fire Island - again, too young to remember

# The Gunner - oldy, it was Gay Friendly!

Let me know if any are missing from my list or other lists...

The Outhouse on Broughton Street Lane (past The Keller bar) - some outrageously camp staff and apparently hosts a gay mens book club

Frederick Street comes off Princes St and becomes Howe St after it crosses Queen Street. The bar was later the Standard, Mothers and finally 6 Degrees North before it closed in 2021 and is now being restored to residential

Great memories of The New Town

And CC’s back in the day. I think it was Karen Dunbar used to run karaoke on a Sunday at CC’s.

Used also do my Uni work in The Blue Moon. Not quite bar, but a great place to hang out. They did the best nachos

And a for a while I used to hang out in the Non De Plume. Sadly gone as well.

Need to thank you guy for pointing out the gay bars in Edinburgh

I made my way to the regent . It wasn’t that busy but I could feel the eyes on me as soon as I entered .after a quick chat with the nosey barman he had established I wasn’t a local . I was on my second drink when a man approached me at the bar and opened a conversation which quickly turned into an inquisition then a proposition . Within an hour we were in his bed kissing passionately and I was sucking his cock as a prelude to being fucked. Wind the clock 20 hours forward.I had plenty of firsts . I had never been picked up in a bar or been fucked twice in the same day or sucked a guy off in the shower .. I had never spent the night with a guy or woke up in the morning with a guy eager to fuck me again

. You can be sure it won’t be long before I return for more of the same
