I’ve been on Prep for a couple of years now and have never tried bareback .. but the desire is growing .. A bit confused… you’ve never had bareback but you’ve had raw penetration which was ok because he didn’t cum?

Bareback and raw penetration are the same thing, whether he cums or not. The risk is in viral/bacterial transmission through contact with all bodily fluids not just semen.

PrEP def helps massively in reducing HIV risk and doxycycline can reduce risk of chlamydia and syphilis. But there is no strong evidence of its effectiveness in preventing infection with gonorrhoeal or any other STIs. There are also increasing data showing resistance to doxycycline is increasing making it potentially less effective.

The reality is that bareback sex is still a lot more risky than using a condom.

Actually I didn’t really answer your question, sorry! I will generally only bareback with a guy I trust to be testing regularly/taking prep/doxy.
