"Not a cool alteration to the policy sadly, as a dresser I take bag with me to cabin to get changed." It's a sauna you're expected to wear a towel

"Typical selfish drug users, spoiling it for everyone else I feel sorry for the pipeworks staff who will get stick from some people despite them only doing as instructed so the place can stay open" Yea, have to admit I was a bit shirty with the guy on reception on Wednesday when he told me as I had rucksack with me (nothing rude, just expressed my annoyance at the inconvenience and hopefully gets fed back to the management). Thing is, am I being stupid or would you not just hide drugs in your pockets or in your shoes/socks anyway if you really were determined to take them in? It’s not like they do body searches

"Not a cool alteration to the policy sadly, as a dresser I take bag with me to cabin to get changed." Yea that occurred to me as sometimes see guys in different kinds of gear, e.g leather, harnesses etc, that they wouldn’t want to be wearing to go there

" It's a sauna you're expected to wear a towel " It's actually a Gay/Bi Health & Leisure Club - which has sauna. steam room, etc.. You can wear as you wish, as advised by management frequently

" Yes i brought my rubber gear to change into. Not so good now..." Potential to still go in with your rubber gear in a plastic bag then just hand bag over and switch into rubber gear in cubicle? Be a shame if it put you off fully from going x

"Does that mean they don't want TVs and CDs to dress there anymore too " Nothing to stop anyone doing that, just can’t take your bag in past reception- need to take items out the bag and carry in

"Nothing to worry about, guys. I was there on Friday and asked about this. Only people with something to hide should be concerned. They have taken very sensible advice and I have absolute confidence in the measures that they have taken. Btw, the new staff member is cute lol" He may be cute but can he do the job? Last time I was in all I got was "I don't know how to do that"

"I’ve just been to reception and there was zero tolerance for a bag or its content. When I said I’ll take a couple of things out of my bag and stick them in a pocket I was told “well that defeats the point of a no bag policy”. I bring a small moisturiser and deodorant for when I finish but was told that wouldn’t be allowed if they weren’t sealed. Same with a drink. He made no effort to explain the reasoning or if there’s any security process to make sure your stuff is safe. Tagging it and putting it behind the desk means nothing. 20 years they’ve operated without this nonsense. " Protest with your wallet

"It’s so disappointing but it really put me off so I left without going in. Been going there for nearly 15 years. He couldn’t explain the point of the bag policy to me but apparently my moisturiser being taken from my bag into my pocket defeated the point of it. I’ve got absolutely zero problem with my bag being searched and they could inspect it all if they wanted, I’ve nothing to hide. But I want to know my stuff is secure while I’m in there. " Good for you - I mean they're not searching you or your clothes so it's a daft policy anyway if they're trying to stop people bringing in pills

" I totally understand if they have had issues with drugs (as someone mentioned earlier) but if they wanted drugs in they don't need bag.....just fill pockets as no search being done. With regards your cream, you could have originally had it in your pockets and got in so not sure how you being honest and taking it out bag to go in pocket differs. Surely they need to have a think about a better policy is this doesn't seem fully thought through. For the record, I'm not against them searching me, just don't think current rule does anything to eradicate the potential issue.
