When I played sports and swam at university the showers in the men’s changing rooms were all communal and it was very difficult not to get a semi or full hard on when showering and ogling the other lads in the showers ( only had a couple of experiences - sadly I was always too anxious then).

I've noticed that too. Older leisure centres are still communal which is handy for busy times like five asides at the weekend. Otherwise pure gym and all that it's individual shower cubicles. Never actually seen fun there unless it's only after hours

I remember when in my teens on a school trip in Germany, showering next to the hairiest hung teacher lol. PE showers at school were always communal. Saunas are communal showers which is always good
