"I would take the medication that relaxes you. It’s not like a general anaesthetic as you’re awake all the time. You hardly feel anything at all. I’ve had 2 and the worst thing is taking the laxative before the procedure. Awful tasting stuff but it certainly does the trick. You will be fine." Agreed..its really nothing to worry about.. I had a big black male nurse holding my hand while i had mine,..such big hands mmmmm | |||

"A few years ago I went for a colonoscopy. I can't have read the pre op notes properly so drove myself to the hospital and they wouldn't give me an anaesthetic. They did it without and it wasn't a problem, just a twinge as the tube negotiated one or two bends in my colon. I could watch it all on a tv screen. " when i had one it was horrible as they found out that mine is twisted and tried to negotiate the bends and tried all different ways to get it done but failed not something that i want to try again | |||
