Hi,

Anyone recommend a good hotel in city centre? Looking for somewhere good, relaxed and with decent privacy (i.e. no poor sound proofing if I have a guy (or guys) back for fun) 🤣

Depends if you want easy access or have to take guests up with a card.

I stayed in the chain with the moon and the rooms were a good size and reasonably quiet, cheap too midweek.you do need a key card for the lifts though.

It was also still closed when I passed last week

The holiday inn theaterland doesn’t need key card - that’s the proper holiday inn and not the express next door

Voco Grand Central is good. Looking for anyone who is hosting there or nearby early December this year. Have a Xmas party planned and got a few hours to kill. Met a couple of guys at Voco last year and was great.

Grand Central is good but quite pricey.

I know both Holiday Inn's at the airport are good for access. Any other ideas? Ideally without a keycard to get to lifts.

Z Hotel. Get better rates by becoming a member.

The small rooms are pretty small, but well equipped.

No card needed for the lift, but you have to pass the reception desk.

Motel.one near the station is good,no key needed for the lift or to access the corridors and it's fairly busy with people coming and going so easy to slip past reception

Met someone in there a few weeks ago, key cards for the lift were required and a "security" guy watching.

Raddison Red near the Hydro is card access for the lifts. Suspect Raddison Blue will now be the same. Have had great fun in both

Yes both Radisson's are card access.

I've had two meets in the last week in The Village.

Absolutely brilliant and very discreet. No card for lift, 4 hours free parking and a very busy foyer

Mercure Hotel on Ingram Street is good, reception faces away from the lifts so you can wander in and out the front door and no card required to operate the lifts.

Citizen M you do need a keycard for the lift. You can however enter and go to first floor bar. Easier to meet rather than at reception.

Good sized beds for fun on if you do have company. Also used to have free porn films but not sure if that is still on offer.

Last time I was there (6months ago) there was no keycard for lifts. Always a busy entrance so easy to bypass check in desk. I did hear that they now have security at doors but that may only be late at night.

BBC disclosure welcome to Glasgow portrayed the city centre as being rife with drug dealers, violent attacks, people getting racially abused .. all this and every day tbe film crew were there. I have never been there but would think twice about going out at night there.
