Don't use anything that isn't designed for sounding, and make sure its sterile and dont use a rod that someone else has been using or you may get a nasty water infection like i did,,happened a long time ago ,all good now I might add and much wiser

I've tried those flexible silicone rubber type urethral sounding rods, I bought a few different thicknesses.
