Even worse when there are big events on at the Hydro etc as they don't want folk sneaking in an sharing rooms" I've noticed that, used to automatically give you 2 keys if you booked a room for 2, butthay seem to wait until they see you both now | |||

"I quizzed a hotel on this previous when me and the wife stayed and only got 1 key. I asked for a second key and was told initially no however on pressing that we weren’t joined at the hip and may require to come to the room at separate times I was told its due to cost cutting lol " What cost? I thought the key cards were all re-processed and re-issued with new numbers on. | |||

"Use Premier Inn a lot and never had an issue, until I stayed at one of their 'new improved' style set-ups. Arranged to meet someone in the bar as lifts require the card to access. Even after being seen in the bar for a while staff still watched as we went upstairs. Made sure I went down with him afterwards, almost showing him out. Staff still watching!!" Wow. Normally use PI when i visit Glasgow (cheap, good size rooms and good locations for visitors to the city). Must be as i have no luck that i have escaped their gaze! Using a different hotel next weekend, see how that goes! I wonder if when there is a big event on they get wary of people sneaking mates in? With PI the prices for single or double are about the same anyway. | |||
