Was advertised last time I was in, sadly! Not for me at all, advertised as a venue for Gay/Bi men, so why bring in women. Other venues have been closed down for holding mixed sex events and it would be bad to lose Pipeworks over it

Is it really to do with viability, rather than simply the preferences of the 'new' owner(s)? I'm not that comfortable with women walking around in the place (I like women, just not in a gay sauna: is no space sacred?

I have never been to this particular venue. So not sure on this but Are we missing the possibiliy that it might be GAY Women that want to come join in at a Sauna with other GAY women.

In terms of marketing, the fact that such an event is being held suggests that the sauna is failing with its current market (even if it's only Thursdays 🤔) which surprises me.

Showers upstairs out of action. The steam room breaking down regularly. Last time the jacuzzi/pool wasn't working. All that is okay if you're having fun but if you're hoping to use the facilities in between or just to chill for a bit then it's not great.

I'm interested in this thread as I'll be using Pipeworks a lot next year. My local gay sauna here in Swindon is open four days a week for all-male events, and is pretty excellent. But I think the mixed couples events they also run here (generally at night) are a great business success, in effect subsidising the gay events and paying towards the physical expansion of the venue which is incorporating an adjacent building. So I think this could be a wise move for Pipeworks. Surely anything that secures the future of our gay saunas must be welcomed?

Thursday is the quietest day of the week at Pipeworks; this is just a decent way for the management to increase footfall. They are a business aiming to maximise profit, after all.

The thing is there are several swingers places like Cjs and they can never get enough women.

Dundee tried it. Woman came in and we all left apart from 1 guy.

Pipeworks and gay saunas work as men are a lot more sexually permisucous.

And pipeworks would really need to clean itself up if its expecting women to be willing to go.

I've been to some of these events in UK and they are absolutely rubbish. Few, if any women turn up. The men walk around and around doing nothing unless they are following/stalking any women that come in. And I mean 'any' women. A lot of men go dressed as women, convinced that they look like a hot woman, but they certainly don't. Of the woman that do go, they rarely play and when they do they tend to be quite picky. And, believe me, they are not in a position to be picky!

Well I was in tonight and there was hardly 5 guys in , don't see what the issue is for one night per month .
