Yes, I did it last year with some friends.

It took 5 days averaging about 20 miles a day...wear comfortable boots/shoes and prepare for lots of midges 😁

There are lots of friendly people, I did it in a walking skirt x

Done it both directions on foot and by bike too. The section round Loch lomond is not much fun.

Did you take the bike on the loch Lomond stretch on the road? Or stick to the walking path?

Walked it 4 times and cycled it twice, it gets busy on the lower Milngavie section and the Bridge or Orchy to Glencoe section .

I did it as a solo camp last year, wild camped all but one night. I agree the part around Loch Lomond was the toughest one, but the rest was all good fun as long as you take your time. Had a day of a heatwave up in the hills, so be careful with that and the midges will eat you alive by King's House. But it was the most rewarding experience I've had, the views, the people and the sheer accomplishment was fantastic!

Wear walking shoes not boots. The ground is hard the whole way so you really want cushioning over ankle support. Go for it though, it's fun.

Biked the walking path, but after 2 seperate snakebite punctures on rocks near rob Roy's cave kinda area, there was a lot of pushing involved at that section. Eventually gets a bit less rocky and technical for riding. Fwiw, biking the whw took half the time of walking for me.

The Avon skin so soft works very well, it's the best stuff I have ever used to stop the midges biting when I'm in the Highlands wildcamping.

Yes, I ran it over 3 days last year.

Milngavie to Fort William. The first day was superb, with views over Loch Lomond from Conic Hill.

Second day was a pain in the arse (sadly not the fun kind!) at the start. A few miles along the side of Loch Lomond were quite rocky and almost scrambly, which made for slow progress.

But the final day passing Glencoe, Devils Staircase and finally Ben Nevis were again, beautiful.
