I can empathise with this completely. What I don't fully understand why you guys stay with them or don't speak up. Sex isn't the only part of a relationship but it's very important. She's choosing to not meet your sexual needs. She doesn't have a solid argument to stop you meeting those needs elsewhere, particularly if it's the only thing not working in the relationship and she has no interest in fixing it.

For argument sake - let's say you didn't contribute financially or support her emotionally. Nobody would think a breakup or looking to meet those needs elsewhere is unreasonable.....

Why is the no sex situation any different. And if "asking for sex" from your spouse is a valid complaint , then outright denying sex is a valid complaint.

I suppose there's also the fear of losing everything that works in the relationship or the fear or starting fresh. But, if you're genuinely unhappy then there isn't that much to lose , is there? Plus, fresh starts can be really exciting.

Just my two cents on these kinda scenarios. I've been through it myself but jumped ship before the marriage part .

I remember one such case with friends of mine who got divorce it all came down to the lack of intimacy and sex, she wasn’t interested no matter what , she initiated a divorce cost him a fortune business, house she wanted everything, she was entitled he was told he ended up walking away and moving the business failed she lost, the house it was repossessed, she lost there, she started dating met her at their kids wedding where he bumped into her and her new partner who were engaged to be married, he said to her so we ended up divorced because you didn’t want to play any longer, we lost everything now your back having sex again , I hope your happy the second marriage lasted a year her third marriage lasted 9 month all through the same lack of sex .

At a second kids wedding they met and she had the audacity to say to him I made a huge mistake in getting married divorced, he just walked away .

I think women need to think about the factors that actually keep the marriage together and the relationship alive before the close there legs and lay on ever excuse they can find .

I worked hard, paid of the mortgage early she didn't contribute to any of the household bills I also have a good pension lined up

She hasn't worked for 30 yrs

If we were to split she would clear my pension pot and be would probably be entitled to the house which would leave me starting all over again as i turn 60
