The police ( certainly in Surrey when I used to play there) were mainly looking for maybe a bit of a laugh but officially looking after safety.

I have had a torch shone on me a few times but never been spoken to.

Plenty of parking in laybys on the A48 flyover...lots of fast moving traffic who's not really looking at what's going on there. Wanked myself off there last week 11.30pm and loved it, shame no-one was with me

This is a parking layby on the A48 Cowbridge which is pretty much a great place to stop as traffic is moving rapidly (but also adds to the excitement of a car meet) or alternatively there's another parking layby further down this bypass (going westbound).

I've been contemplating meeting in a fast road layby. I was sucked off in one once, just off the M4. Traffic was moving quick and the drivers were more focused on not being overtaken as they approached the main roundabout. I've noticed a few small laybys on that a48 cowbridge road as you mentioned. Often thought they would be good.

Briefly pulled into the layby this morning around 10:30 on my way back from the recycling centre. Saw a car parked further ahead in front of me. I logged on to both sites to see who was nearby as in touching distance but, no-one appeared to be near. As I drove out, a nice older gentleman was looking at me from that car. No, they're east - past the Pyle lay by up the hill, past the speed camera and past the big house on the left just before you hit a roundabout to either turn right to porthcawl or go straight on to the a48
