Looked up the website which said it wasn't a pride event as such but a festival of inclusivity. Rather put me off.

Why would that put you off I wonder...

Hmmm

You'd rather exclude people?

I'm not out to exclude anybody but I don't want to make the effort of driving to an event 50/60 miles away and feel excluded myself. Read their website before criticising me. Sounds like an exclusive Blaenau Gwent thing. I have never been to a proper Gay Pride event and if I do I would like to think it was a proper gay event and not just a carnival.

I was considering going but it's a bit of a faff getting from abertillery to tredegar on the bus.

Pretty obvious. If, as the website says, it is a Blaenau Gwent community event well I do not live in that area, have rarely visited the area so may well feel out of place. I'm looking at the possibility of attending a Gay Pride event, which would be my first, and this does not sound as if it is.

Not because it welcomes other groups you don't want to mix with of course....

As an old saying goes I think you are trying to make mountains out of molehills.
