Don't know if it me reading the signs wrong everytime I go into a local foodstore by me the guy who serves me started chatting to me few months back. Every time he serves me he talks more. Anyway today I cashed in a lotto ticket he said we go half's. So I laughed and said need more zeros on it than that unless you want to go to macdonalds. His reply was we can GP Miller and carter and he always smiles. I told him if i have a winning ticket tonight I see him tomorrow and his face lite up. Am I reading the signs wrong or is he being friendly.

Just ask him out on a date. He'll either jump at the chance or say no. One man asking another out on a date isn't a crime nor is it really something out of the ordinary these days.

Ok try this, ask if he wants to go to the pub instead - that way it'll be the two of you and plenty of opportunity to chat and to get to know him better. You can gauge how to move on from there. Worst case you've made a friend
