I lived there for 11.5yrs. I was in Makati/Guadelupe.

Good luck. Climate wouldn't suit me so not on my fantasy list of retirement locations. Very high crime rate. A lot of poverty. A rather conservative, catholic country but that doesn't seem to stop young Filipinos being more open about their sexuality. Met quite a few over here but not sexually. Employed a couple once who were cheerful and good workers. Watched a film about Mr Philippines, a parade of gorgeous looking lads in their speedos.
