I tried to set up something like this but its difficult if you try to coordinate it . I found the best way is to identify a easy to get to meeting point. Ie plenty of parking and not looking suspicious . Then scout out potential walking routes and identify spots no too far from the start point where it would be suitable for group action. Then you post a time and day and meeting point on fab meets and tell guys to wear something distinctive to identify their interest ie baseball cap or scarp. The organiser arrives first and makes sure other csn see him waiting . Once the group decides there are enough the organiser takes the lead to the preidentified action spot and the fun can begin.

Of course its always pot luck regarding if any or how many turn up. But if you dont try it will never happen.

Only way these happen is if someone takes the lead and identifies a suitable secluded route then posts a start meeting place and date and time. Then just see how many turn up. Youll never get everyone there but hopefully youll get some. A few months ago I did this and three guys turned up. Im sure a few others were there but chickened out and stayed in their cars. Its going to be more difficult because of the weather for the next few months. But can i suggest everyone here do some reccys of suitable places to be ready for future walking group meets.
