FOREST OF DEAN

I live about five miles from Monmouth in the Forest of Dean and it makes me very sad to see the terrible damage inflicted on the town by the recent floods.

Wifey and me are regular visitors to Monmouth as it's more or less on our doorstep and I hope the town will fully recover from this disaster.

I have friends in the Philippines and it even made their news!

I'm not far from Pontypridd. The water is skimming the top of the flood walls atm. It won't take much more...

So sad. Must be horrendous for the poor people there. Don't know Monmouth that well. Been a few times. Lovely place with friendly people.

FOREST OF DEAN

Monmouth is a lovely town and I am confident that Monmouth and it's residents will overcome this disaster.

Not a million miles from there either. My parents live about 10 mins away. They are elderly and do alot of online shopping, especially from waitrose, they had an email full of apologies from waitrose saying they couldn't do the food shopping delivery this week. Totally understandable. Hope the people of Monmouth are coping OK under the circumstances.

Ross-on-Wye

Awful for all those businesses in the run up to Christmas. I was in Coffee Lab last Sunday with a friend and this Sunday it was completely flooded out, all the furniture on the pavement. Frightening how quickly the river rose and was waistdeep in those buildings in a very short time. Going to take months to clear up and repair fully. If i owned property there Id worry that it could happen again.
