Twice in the past six months I've arranged to do a short notice meet. The profiles looked genuine, both had a few verifications, but when I turned up to the street, I received 'radio silence' on the first one, and for the 2nd I suspect I was getting messed about for a 'joke'.

It's annoying.

I think I'll limit my meets to those with loads of verifications and also just use the Greenhouse.

What's your 'messed about stories' and what do you do to prevent this from happening?

There’s not a lot you can do. I had two in one day say they were on their way but never turn up. I just block and move on.

I sometimes get a “feel” for them. It’s pattern recognition “what are you going to do to me” is a classic example of someone who’s just wanking.

The Greenhouse idea is very good. You’ll still have a sauna and steam if you don’t get sex.

Deffo meet at the greenhouse as a plan B. Weeds out them who were only going to bottle it in first place and hey if/when they don't turn up it's rare to visit and not get some fun and if all else fails yeah Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and some snap & craic in the bar. What's not to like?

the last five meets I've arranged have been no shows, bit of a bugger as it's difficult for me to get out and about as a rule. Just have to block them forget about it.

I’ve driven 30 miles chatted on the way then when I came time for the house number it went quiet. I had another one where I went to the address and it was the wrong one I think he was watching somewhere.

Yes, I think this is what was happening yesterday. I'd parked down the bottom of the street and he wanted me - for some reason - to park at the top of the street.

So he could see I would guess.

I don't understand the mentality.

I’ve had a spate of people wasting my time over the last few weeks.

I’m just thankful that there are a couple of cracking guys who I meet on a regular basis off here that make up for it.

I think I’ll stick to meeting them.

Unfortunately time wasters are the bane of this site. Some people get cold feet, what if the neighbors see, what if someone calls unexpectedly? Some just seem to get off on arranging meets then cancelling at the last minute or going silent. The trouble is that the very nature of this site attracts men who are married, in a relationship or in the closet. That means that those who can accomadate and are genuine are few and far bgetween.

FRANCE, no longer in

Time wasters are a fact of every meeting site and not just this one. It also happens here in France with the french sites. Just some thing we have to accept as part of this life style. Unfortunately it will never change.

Today takes the biscuit.

Threesome organised and the other two turned out to be time wasters! 😂

You couldn’t write this stuff.

Luckily a good friend has just stepped in to help a guy out lol

Just get used to it as it will happen a lot xxx

I had a guy turn up at my hotel last week. He was there, we were within touching distance then he bailed. It was a little bit lucky in that I went down to reception to let him in (needed a card for the elevator) and as I got back in the lift one of my work colleagues was there but as long as he acted cool could have played that off

It's not just the no-shows. It's the meets you take ages to sort. Then where you get there. The house is dirty and smell of drugs. And the person doesn't look anything like the photo on yhere profile.. not a good experience...

Had it where I’ve driven there and as I’ve parked up they messaged to say they’ve got visitors.

Another gave me the postcode, I said I was on my way. Got there and he’s gone offline a minute after reading my message, then didn’t come back on until the next day.

Another told me to pop over and he was just popping in the shower. Didn’t come back on until that evening and ignored my messages asking what happened to him.

Another wanted me to go around to suck him and his mate off. I got half way, checked my phone, and he’s messaged saying his mate didn’t fancy it anymore. I went home, then they wanted me to suck them both in a random field. Sounded dodgy so didn’t.

Another gave me the postcode, I turned up, then when messaged for the address decided to play 20 questions, and would answer a straight question about which house it was, so drove off.

Frustrating thing is they were all verified.

Now, I won’t drive more than 20 mins for a meet, unless it’s someone I’ve met before.
