Ok so now something about myself if you are still interested.

I am now semi retired, however because of the shortages of most company pilots being on furlough and also fully qualified ground and flight testing crews, I am still on a retainer by the company (British Airways maintenance division) to help crew aircraft for their C.(2 year) or D.(6 year) checks to and from the B A maintenance and Engineering Facilities at Glasgow (BAMG) and Warsaw Chopin BAMW and return them after getting their Certificate of Release to Service (CRS.

In better times being one of the companies Senior Captains and together with other Senior First Officers I used to travel with company officials from the company's aircraft procurement division to take delivery of new A320neo series aircraft from the Airbus plant at Toulouse-Blagnac or from aircraft storage facilities in Germany, and after final paperwork signing and the EASA sign off, crew it onwards mainly to T5 Heathrow (LHR) but sometimes to other European destinations before the company puts it into service, sometimes within ninety minutes of me handing over to the ground marshals and the duty Captain for a scheduled sector.

Also I could have been called upon at short notice to help crew and relocate aircraft that are at the wrong airport with their crews having been displaced are out of duty time and are off shift, also where there have been aircraft technical grounding delays or other reasons like the last current strike situation or weather diversions and airport security restrictions when no other qualified personal are available at short notice to relocate
