But now as a semi retired Senior Captain with over 28,000 total hours,(but as age now dictates CAA/EASA current regulations mean I can no longer Command regular revenue (fare paying passenger) aircaft), however at my request and as strange as it might sound I am still authorised to fly the very same aircraft, but only as a ferry or relocation crew Captain, so having kept my medical and aircraft type licence current with three month check rides, I am now with the British Airways Engineering and Maintenance Division,(who are part of the International Airline Group)ferrying and relocating their Airbus 320 series aircraft as required for their C CHECKS (every 2 year approx) and D CHECKS (6 to 10 years depending on service use) to the companies maintenance facilities at GLA (Glasgow International Airport).

However within the last few weeks I have been offered a possible post with the AAIB (Air Accident Investigation Branch) using my extensive knowlege and experience with both curent Airbus 320 series and earlier Boeing 737 type aircraft. And also knowledge of smaller general aviation fixed wing aircraft.
