4 years or so a severe pain in my side led to a diagnosis that my Gall Bladder had to be removed urgently and in fact be treated as an emergency. Sadly this diagnosis was made in Blackburn hospital after Royal Preston had sent me for the scan. Anyway for reasons I'll never understand Blackburn didn't inform me or Preston Royal? So, 3 years later and quoting a surgeon. "The Gall Bladder had been completely overwhelmed with stones and it had literally exploded inside, leaving it's bits and pieces all over the place". This clean up made the 1 hour op into a 3 hour op. Surgeon said it was a real "nightmare". Which hasn't ended yet? But it has accelerated my Bucket List requirements...
