This is a complete guess but when douching water is pumped into your back passage to clear out the lower bowel.

With an Ennama which you have prior to a Colonoscopy you swallow a medical liquid preparation which clears out your gut. From experience this is done the night before and also the following morning prior to the procedure later in the day.

I'm not a medic so may be wrong, possibly someone who is or has been a Nurse will confirm or correct my theory.

I disconnect shower head from the long shower hose. Warm flowing water and sit on loo and gently press hose to your bum when you feel the warm rush in just relax and let it out . Repeat 2 or 4 times . Then walk around go up the stairs etc . As jou might gind u need to do it again but with a little less water. It is really good for when you think u need to go for a dump as the water relaxes you and just gets it moving. I feel so much lighter and clean after. I also don't need to use loo roll as I wash the area in the shower. Win Win
