Though the phrase daddy issues is now mostly used to refer almost exclusively to women, modern mental health professionals still use the term “Father Complex,” which still refers to all genders equally for clinical purposes. Having daddy issues is not a major mental health condition, however it can manifest itself in a variety of ways.

I grew up without a father and only had minimal contact over the years. I definitely have daddy issues and have craved the attention of older men since I was young.

It plays out in my daily life and sex life. I’m at my happiest around senior men especially authority figures and mentors.

I love to be controlled by an older man and will do anything they say. And I constantly fantasise about it.

Yes and it has gotten stronger with age.

When I was in my twenties I liked all types of guys, now at 33 I am exclusively attracted to dad-looking men.

I love dad/son roleplay but not essential, but in terms of type I'm pretty much only attracted to stereotypical middle aged dad type men.

Been thinking about this a bit lately - I definitely did have Daddy issues. I'm an only child and lost my Dad when I was o ky 4. My late partner was older than me and I've always been attracted to older men - still am. But now I'm getting on, the younger lads are starting to show Daddy interest in me and it's something I'd like to explore so maybe that has shifted with time.

It's something I never really thought about until recently, I never got on with my dad, I was never tough enough for him and because i was shy he was always putting me down.

He was also very homophobic and always warning about poofs etc and dirty old men in toilets which actually began my homo urges I think! I always sought out older men for sex

When I first came out I did spend time with a variety of ages and I would have to say I definitely gained a lot of my education from older men… but as I’ve got older and hit my mid 40s (now 47) I have found myself very much drawn to the younger lads.

There is something about being called daddy by a fit lad in his mid 20s that definitely turns me on… I wouldn't really say I was a dom but I’m always very passionate and loving with a younger lad and having that returned by them is very alluring.

100% I have daddy issues. It's not essential and I meet guys and have had relationships with those not into it, but dad/son roleplay drives me wild.

My ex and I had an almost full time father/son relationship which was very fulfilling for us but we couldn't sustain it due to distance and my job. Very sad.

I lost my dad when I was 9 yrs old and really effected my up bringing without dad in my life

He was the most caring and loving dad and I couldn't have wished for better but cruely was taken away from me

I always got on with my mates dad as they realized I treat them much better than there one kids ,so had better rapore with them

Now in my sixties I'm still turned on by dad's my own age and older and younger as lots of dad's love been called dad but I hate using the word daddies

It's a very personal thing been appreciated by older dads so keep the older ones in my life
