Unread Message Query

Hi. Quick query please…have been having back and forth messages with a guy and my last message is showing in my sent items (for over a week) as unread by him and I haven’t received a reply back even though we seem to be online daily and he’s viewed my profile during that time and sent a wink. Not sure if he’s playing silly beggars lol or he (or I) might be doing something wrong/have set some permissions which means messages aren’t getting through? We’re both paid up members. Any advice gratefully received! Thanks

This happened me once before. Turned out the guy had deleted the thread my mistake and so the message went unanswered. If he is on and checking your profile (if you have supporter status and know), I'd fire off one more to be sure then leave it if he doesn't get back?

I always give a guy two chances. As above when you see him online send a quick message. No reply = no thanks, so move on with your life.

Hi. Thanks so much for your replies, really appreciate it. So after him sending me a wink yesterday I sent one last tester message last night which he responded to this morning. So doesn’t look like there’s an issue with message filters so it’s either human error or he’s a potential time waster. Suspect the latter although that’s annoying as I thought I was good at spotting a time waster from a mile away (every day’s a school day eh). Thanks again for your replies, much appreciated!

Sometimes thing get missed and people are quick to jump on timewaster. I was chatting with a local guy and we'd arranged to meet for a mutual wank then he went silent. He checked my profile a few times over the next few days.

When I hadn't heard back I messaged and when the thread reappeared he'd sent a message but I never got it (must have deleted it accidentslly when tidying my inbox) and he sent a single message with the word timewaster. Tried explaining and he blocked me. People can be quick to jump to conclusions here

So basically you exchanged a few messages and then he obviously didn't fancy it. That doesn't make him a timewaster 🤦

Well if he's replied to your last message then he is not a timewaster, is he?

As someone said above, he might have deleted your first message thread by mistake and never got your penultimate message because it was attached to that thread.

I never knew that was a thing. I always thought all messages would always reach their recipient, whether or not they were part of a thread...

It’s called ghosting

Happens all the time

Just dismiss him as not interested or a timewaster

If it’s only a short message they could have read it but not opened it and maybe can’t think of anything to reply.obviously I don’t know the convo so can’t say it’s what happened here but just saying don’t give up on an assumption

I've had the same. I do what the previous guy said - send another message (not raising the fact he didn't reply). If he doesn't reply, he's not interested. If he does, give the benefit of the doubt.

I've had that with someone before. I just assumed he was a timewaster but we've had good sex twice since then. Shrug. Maybe he just used me when he wanted me. Lol. I don't mind that!

Agree … block him and move on.

If he keeps looking at you profile and wants to talk - he would have messaged again already. The fact he hasn’t speaks VOLUMES!!

Focus your energy talking / meeting others.
