Just a thought, has anyone on here had problems replying to posts on here? I’ve got a FWB on here who can’t post on the forum and it’s been this way for over a year. It started he said when he went abroad ( whether that’s got something to do with it I don’t know…. I wouldn’t have thought so). Has anyone had similar problems with replying or posting on the forums? And could the site admins please come back to me. My guy has tried several times to contact them but to no avail.

Its possible he has been suspended from the forums for some reason.

If he has messaged the Admins about it and nothing has happened and there has been no interaction from them then chances are he has been suspended

I note that you didn’t say if your FWB had received any notice that their ability to post to forums was being suspended.

I would have expected that they should have received a notice of suspension (and why) even if it was just an automated message as a minimum, otherwise how are they supposed to know it is not a problem with the site, and would have avoided the confusion.

I've not been able to post updates for about a year now. I've messaged admin a couple of times to find out why and for how long but no reply. Has this happened to anyone else?

I note that neither you or the OP have said if you received any form of Ban or Suspension notifications. If neither of you received no form of notification, then this is a problem.

1. How are you to know that you have been banned or suspended from posting rather than it being a problem with the system.

2. If you have been banned or suspended without any notification, how are you supposed to know why this has happened and what you did that lead to the ban or suspension.

3. The lack of any communication on the matter (yes I know what it says in the terms) but if users (especially paying users) are being denied a service they are paying for and have not been told why then it is reasonable for them to assume that there is a problem with the site and if that is reported and there is still no communication then that is an issue for everyone.

When a forum restriction is applied the User receives a message informing them.

⚠️

So if you haven't received a message then it must be a problem with the website and should be reported to site maintenance for investigation

That would be my expectation, however as neither poster has said that they had received any notification of a ban or suspension, but one said that they had messaged the admins but had received no reply and the problem persists the lack of communication does leave people wondering if it is a site problem or a ban (possibly without any notification), especially after another mod posted “If he has messaged the Admins about it and nothing has happened and there has been no interaction from them then chances are he has been suspended”.

Working in IT Development and Support, I can appreciate that some communication with users who have problems is needed to avoid confusion, lack of communication in those circumstances can cause a lot more issues than a simple response.

For information. If you get a forum ban you will recieve a mail saying which ban it is for. If you have a forum block rather than a ban with a mail it is by design and not an issue with the site.

If you want Admin to review any ban or block for you you should contact them from the contact links. If they are going to lift the block they will mail and let you know.

If you have a status block it will be for breaking rules. The above advice covers this too.
