Excellent. I think Ian McShane is great in that. Great cast. Kingsley is immense.

Love it when he's talking to himself in the mirror. Total cunt. And he says that a few times lol.

Ray Winstone is ace in that too.

They are all part of a criminal gang so it counts as a gangster flick.

Eastern Promises is fucking excellent. A-list Hollywood cast but feels like a British film. BBC cash well spent for a change.

That bathouse fight scene is epic.

Underbelly the first series is a great recreation of the true story of the Melbourne gang wars over drugs from mid 90s to 2004.

It's got actors from Neighbours and Home and Away in it.

Well worth watching. Its on Real Drama on YouTube. Many other spin-offs about true Aussie crime. Underbelly 'Badness' is very good. As is Underbelly season 2. All true stories dramatised.

Love/Hate is a fictional gangster series set in Dublin and is great too. Think it's on Britbox. Very gritty, especially the final season.

Was going to suggest the French gangster epic based on the true life story of Jacques Mesrine. Vincent Cassel is outstanding in Mesrine parts 1&2.

Mesrine:Killer Instinct and Mesrine:Public Enemy Number 1

Just noticed it's on ItvX so you can watch it for free.

It's a 4-hour epic in 2 parts. Great stuff...

Also, tangentially gangster perhaps but the two De Palma movies Scarface and Carlton's Way are famous.

Still remember the pearl clutching over the violence when Scarface came out

"A young Pierce Brosnan pointing the gun at him. "
there's a scene were Pierce Brosnan comes on to a guy to fuck him in a sauna and shower area, but instead of fucking him he just says "Hi" then murders him, it's the kind of shit you have to do if you want to become James Bond.

It's the only word, Hi, that Brosnan says in the film, it was his first ever movie part.

Bob Hoskins didn't know who Brosnan was and didn't meet him till years later, the scene at the end where Brosnon kills Hoskins was filmed on different days, Brosnon just pointed the gun at a camera, Hoskins wasn't there
