Take a step back and reflect on the feminist critique. Historically there has been a massive imbalance with men defining the culture, progression from this will not be a steady progress. Tate et al are simply an extreme response to feminism, but sadly lacking any intellect !

I don't like to sing my own praises but yes I'm very good 👌 , I know lots of women that are very good at their jobs and don't get involved in that crap.

I work in a fairly pressured business. I have many female colleagues. I’ve had loads of female bosses. I simply do t recognise any of this toxic feminism. I also dont live in The Daily Mail world. Luckily I live in the real world and I’m having a ball.

Toxic masculinity refers to the aspects of traditional masculinity that are harmful or damaging to individuals and society. This can include traits like aggression, dominance, and suppression of emotions, which can lead to behaviours such as violence, sexism, and homophobia. It's a complex issue caused by a mix of societal expectations, culture, and individual experiences. Different views, including feminist ideas, play a role.

Some people argue that certain aspects of feminism can contribute to a backlash that might exacerbate toxic masculinity. However, many experts and researchers suggest that toxic masculinity is more closely tied to societal expectations, cultural norms, and traditional gender roles. The relationship between feminism and toxic masculinity is indeed a complex one.

Toxic masculinity is about how societal expectations and traditional roles shape men's behaviour, not about blaming women. It's a complex issue with multiple factors at play.

Invent something.

Give it a term.

Make up some research to give the impression it's a "thing".

Use said "thing" to grift money from the public purse or similar.

Eg Toxic bullshit. I'm really concerned about TBS and I need loads of money to write a report about it and get myself a rep as an expert in the field I created.

Referring to a small group of feminists that hate males/men for every reason going

As many have the attention of the media and love to demonise males at every opportunity

That’s what caused the rise in toxic masculinity

I was bought up never to hit a woman or swear in front of one

I’ve worked in offices where females wet themselves over a young lad contractor and his bulge in shorts

Yet if a bloke says she has fab legs they are off to HR faster than you can blink

Totally agree, these are just exploitative and crooked elements designed to divide people and sell them ideas, ideologies, group think for dummies and also to sell them stuff. Utter madness of social media has ruined the world. In lighter news I am off to get fucked senseless for the next 48 hours. Ain't life sweet.

As with anything, there are extremes on both sides. There are extreme feminists who are militant and borderline crazy, then you have the andrew tates of the world.

"Toxic masculinity" is caused by overly sensitive males having a complex about losing their superiority over women and people in general. They are brought up thinking that they are in some way special because of their male genitalia and come to realise that that is not the case and that women will not just bow to them.

Your examples of unfairness are disproportionately designed to insinuate that women can do as they choose and men can not. That simply isn't the case. A woman can oogle a man if they choose, the same way you noticed his bulge, she did too. The difference is, a woman is considerably less likely to approach someone who a) may be considerably younger and b) is in their workplace. It's why women have higher IQ's than men in general.

Telling someone their legs fab is different. That is an active approach referring to a sexual interest. It is not acceptable to tell someone their legs are fab in a work place. At the bar, yes. At a restaurant on a date, yes. In a workplace, no.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that men still have a complex that women can be equal. They are having little baby tantrums when they can't get away with what they want and then go spouting on the internet about it.

Does seem to be a one-way-traffic. Only chatting to a friend about this earlier. When I ran a pub on NYE I would wear a kilt. Go the other side of the bar to collect glasses or tidy up and guaranteed one or more women would lift my kilt to see what I had got underneath [massive disappointment as wore shorts] Just had to accept it and shrug it off.

Imagine it was the other way round though. If I had lifted a ladies skirt there would probably have been a riot and the police involved.

Some women are really insecure about male friendships. The vast majority of women tolerate it but some won't allow their husbands etc to have interests or friendships outside their relationship, including with other men, feminists in particular.

"Toxic Masculinity is yet another American Psychobabble word. Sometimes I think the US should have "Toxic" stamped on it.

I happily pay for my hour of reflection every month.

Hard recommend, study yourself, your thoughts, your views, why you think the way you do, what's influenced, historical and current.

It's interesting about oneself and you also see others very clearly
