Well they’re not all Turkish they are from all over

Much maligned

But I tell you what they give me the best haircuts

They’re friendly and polite

They’re open at weekends and bank holidays

They’re open at weekends

They’re cheaper than British but as I say I get a quality cut

So go in do you use them

If so why

If not then why not

Don't use them. Got my own hair clippers, every few weeks No.1 all over. Been doing own hair for nearly 30 years, must have saved a fortune.

"Fronts for money laundering and people trafficking, not regulated at all that's why so many."

There seems to be two types of Turkish barber. Ones that are actually barbers and you can tell these ones by simply looking by looking in the window and seeing the number of customers. The others are as you say.

"Why such increase of Turkish barbrrs popping up??"

The plausible ones are Kurds escaping Syria and/or Turkiye, not Turks.

The implausible ones are small-boat Albanians, not Turks

Don't use them - the reason being quite obvious

Dont use them. Most are fronts for some sort of criminal activity. How can they all make a living from barnering? My local area is inundated with them.

I wonder how many people would call it a "front for criminal activity" if they were white?

"I wonder how many people would call it a "front for criminal activity" if they were white?"

There's a clue on the National Crime Agency's website, published a couple of weeks ago:

Barbershops and other cash-intensive businesses across England have been targeted by police and other law enforcement officers during a three-week crackdown on high street crime.

In total, 265 premises were visited across Operation Machinize, where officers secured freezing orders over bank accounts totalling more than £1m, executed 84 warrants and made 35 arrests.

The operation saw 55 individuals questioned about their immigration status and a further 97 individuals safeguarded in relation to potential modern sla*ery.

In addition, officers seized more than £40,000 in cash, some 200,000 cigarettes, 7,000 packs of tobacco, over 8,000 illegal vapes and two vehicles. Two cannabis farms were also found, containing a total of 150 plants. Ten shops have been shut, with further closures expected as a result of on-going investigations.

The NCA estimates that £12bn of criminal cash is generated in the UK each year, which is typically smuggled out of the country or integrated into the legitimate financial system using a variety of laundering techniques.

Cash-intensive businesses such as barbershops, vape shops, nail bars, American-themed sweet shops and car washes are often used by criminals to conceal the origins of illicit cash.

Crime gangs use them to enter cash into the financial system, mixing legitimate funds with criminal profits to hinder subsequent law enforcement investigations. They are known to buy such businesses using the proceeds of crime, which provides them with a legitimate income and opportunities for money laundering.

The crackdown, which is part of the NCA’s continued disruption of cash being laundered in the UK, involved 19 different police forces and Regional Organised Crime Units, as well as national agencies including HMRC, Trading Standards and Home Office Immigration Enforcement.

Few reasons...

1. I have a local I've attended for years.

2. Criminality.

3. Superstition... I was informed by my parents not to cut hair or nails on Sunday. I still do that. Due to being a fucking angel.

None are qualified barbers, they're often rude, they employ certain tricks to make people go back sooner eg razor blade trimming the edges of the hair, they always mither do you want anything more doing eg beard trimming etc.

My local one has on their tariff board "luxurious Service" for twenty quid. I thing it includes singing the ear hairs and maybe other extras!

I just get the standard razor trim for ten quid with a scissor cut. Some of them do a great job and others are obviously not trained. All polite and some of the lads good eye candy.

There's usually six of them in a small shop.

Not many are Turkish or qualified barbers .

A great many exist only to launder money gained from drugs/prostitution/people trafficking/child exploitation

Don't believe it? ... try talking to a genuine Turkish barber and they'll bring you up to speed.

They were cheaper that the British now they have most of the market.I hate going to any barbers now. They all like women’s hair salons and it down to the customers looking alsorts of pampering and shit.I see a lot of guys getting that peakyblinders look, thats the same look from 60 years when your mum could not afford to send you to the barbers so put a bowl over you head and cut in her self.Short back and sides we called it.I will stick with the old 3 on the top 2 on the sides out of the chair in 5 mins lol.

I've been visiting the same Turkish (Kurdish) barber in my town for the last two years and I have to say the best barber I've ever been to. I get the full treatment too and ultra polite despite the language barrier. And did I mention they're all sexy as fuck mmmmmmm
