Continuing the debate (sic), where is the actual evidence that proves Labour are practicing socialism?

What precisely have independent commentators said that argues that the £28billion Green Investment is socialistic in nature?

What has been said about the lack of a cohesive plan by those commentators who have no particular allegiance to a party?

Critical thought rather than disgenuity. Labour in Wales for example being discussed without any thought of budgets imparted from tory administrations is sophistry par excellence.

Not even sure what we are discussing. After 12 months in office few of us have seen any improvement in life in this country. Plus I would say that here in Wales 26 years of Labour 'rule' has been of no real benefit to anyone.

£7 Billion to bring a few thousand Afghans into the UK.

With what?

14 years of Tory’s left the country in a stinking mess with £3+ tn National debt.

If you think that Fartrage will save you, think again he’s only interest is publicising himself and lining his own pockets - look at his record as an MEP and now as an MP takes the money but can’t be arsed to turn up and do the job the public are paying him to do - too busy doing other paying jobs - the country would be well and truly screwed if he got in.

That only really leaves the Lib-dems. They have made Gaines but not enough so far.

Like there are some complete cxxxs on here who believe Labour are the answer to everything and hate anyone to have a different opinion. It's politics and we all have different views. Always amuses me that people go in about the 14 years of various Conservative governments. It was not an imposed dictatorship. They were elected four times over that period either as the largest party or with an outright majority. They got some things badly wrong. They missed opportunities and things didn't always run smoothly. But was it so terrible? Up until the last couple of years of Conservative rule, when they did lose the plot, things weren't that bad.

If you think Labour are the answer then it must have been a pretty silly question. But hey that's politics and varying opinions.

It doesn’t matter who is, or was, or will be in power in the future.

As a world, man has completely fucked it up. As a country, we are fucked. Climate change cannot be changed, we’re too late; that gravy train of ‘zero carbon’ complete bollox has left the station.

As Private Frazer said in Dad’s Army; ‘We’re Doomed…… We’re ALL doomed, I tell ya!’ 😱

All we should be doing is suck cock, give or take anal (or both) depending on your preference; not a lot else is more important! 🤣

7billion is the maximum cost under gdpr (plus legal costs),that the 20k plus afgan allies who had data leaked exposing their complicity with UK forces and putting their lives and the lives of their family in danger, could claim as damages.

Sorry I think there is plenty of factual evidence that previous government oversaw a continuation of decline in the UK economically, massive rise in inequality. Drastic devaluation of countries wealth and hemorrhaging profits overseas with reduced taxes, including massive relative decreases in wages, standards of living education health and even longevity.

I kid you not.

They were a continuation of the previous Tory shit show. With Blaire as an interim stalking horse to curb the worst excess and make it palatable.

Starmer is the same. Starmer's govt is labour or socialist in name only, and he has eviscerated the party leaving it's support almost as weak as the Tories but without such obvious Graft.

Quite a feat. And now having wiped the floor with the mi5 plant the business class will crown reform as the new "people's" champion!

I agree with some who say it's time to get angry. And demand workable plans and not sound bites. Amazingly the people saying this and actually comming up with some well thought out costed alternatives are the lib Dems and the greens!

Not Starmer. Not reform and it has never been a feature of the Tories in last 20 years.

Had a look at https://fullfact.org/immigration/afghan-resettlement-scheme-costs/

Which gives a bit of a breakdown, as the way that some figures being banded about can be a bit misleading. The £7bn figure covers ALL of the Afghan resettlement schemes, so it would include those brought back in the evacuation during the withdrawal. The secretive one for the data breach is between £800 and £850 million.

What really annoys me is that the brought over the guy who posted other peoples names from the list and threatened to post even more if he wasn’t brought over. Actions like that shouldn’t have been given in to, perhaps the government should have told him if he did then they would post his and his families names publicly for the taliban to see.

Ah yes but the money has to be spent on things like buying up land for roads that never get built, imposing Welsh medium schools on English speaking areas, planting trees in Uganda, introducing 36 more AMs in the Senedd plus all the extra offices and staff to go with them. Hardly anything left for the NHS.

The initial blue print for an NHS was produced during WWII by Sir Henry Willink, Conservative MP and wartime coalition Secretary of State for Health. Admittedly the post war Labour government introduced it, adjusted it and made it more comprehensive. Nevertheless the NHS is not solely the domain of socialists. For as long as I have been politically aware/interested/active [circa 1970 if not before] Labour have always put about the scaremongering story that the Conservative will 'do away' with the NHS. It has not happened under their watch--1970/74, 1979/98, 2010/24--and is not likely to. Might be a different story under a Faragista regime.

I'm not a labour supporter but good trade deals, reduction in waiting lists (I'm on one), full support for democracies fighting communism and good handling of 'child' trump all seem positive. Labour can't magic up cash, they are delivering against what they promised (that's all we can ask for). I want proportional representation. Less than 40% if the population is currently represented politically by someone they voted for!

Mmanslaughter. This occurs when a person's extreme carelessness, or gross negligence, leads to another person's death, even if there was no intent to kill or cause harm. It's a type of involuntary manslaughter, where the death is unintentional. So, yes... manslaughter! A persons death should have serious consequences, not just a postscript in a glib text!
