As usual there will be about 30 of them and about 200 pearl clutchers and 5000 police to arrest the thought crimes.

Uncle Knobhead will do a raindance on behalf of the decent proletariat this evening.

Sodden aprons, disgruntled housewives who aren't extreme right wing.

As per usual with the flag waving anti immigrant child protection warriors, they haven't actually said. That way no one can say they are wrong or question their right to march and wave flags while intimidating any who question.

Not exactly free if it's going to cost the Met probably hundreds of thousands in additional wages to stop or control a riot.

Well said, let’s see if they can protest without committing crime. It would be a nice change, and undoubtedly will be someone else’s fault if they do kick off. All 8 of them .

Projection - that's a good old Guardian word. As in projecting the actions of a nutter like Tommy onto perfectly legitimate protesters with moderately un-Guardian opinions. As in assuming violence is a purely rightwing phenomenon.

Criminals on both sides.

Guy who was shot advocated for right to bear arms to resist overbearing government and screamed at people for showing empathy. He also said a few traffic delays a year were a small price to pay for the right to bear arms to defend freedom and protect your community.

It seems a great shame that he and his shooter didn't sit down under different circumstances , it seems they would have much in common?

Given the British nationalist far right people behind it it feels more like an exercised in intimidation than free speech, and if you'd seen the balaclava clad lads in black outfits and hoodies, storming around putting up flags with heavies hanging about in the wings to intimidate and run interference for them, then you'd be forgiven for looking at this march and going instead to the one in Russell square, that's antifascist and complaining about corporate influence on political discourse in UK.

They got arrested not for calling an officer a muppet but refusing to move on when told and committed a public order offence.

They didn't get arrested for saying "i like bacon" they got arrested for a public order offence because of the nature of their behaviour.

The moron "praying" at an abortion clinic was also trying to prevent women from accessing healthcare in a protected zone.

If you're going to lie, at least make them believable and not just utter bollocks from facebook or your mate down't pub

It's encompassed in the HRA as our legal right to freedom of expression and commonly referred to, however, freedom of speech is not a singular component of any law within the UK.

Isn’t simplifying things like that a tad disingenuous? Using that yardstick Fred West was imprisoned for building patios."

Using the same yard stick, Lucy Connolly spent more time in prison for an internet post than Fred West did for 12 murders

"It’s a freedom of speech march, considering your country has serious problems with this issue, you should all be out on the streets

We don't have a serious issue with it. We've never had freedom of speech, we're not Americans. Also, if we had it, you and other commenters couldn't spout the absolute tosh you do on this forum as well as wherever else you spout it.

According to your Prime Minister, your country “Has had Freedom of Speech for a very, very long time”

Maybe try being here before you tell us how it is? 🤣

I may not live in your country and English isn’t my first language

But the rest of the World is wondering how a Lawyer and ex-Head of the Crown Prosecution Service and now your Prime Minister, doesn’t understand the definition of freedom of speech as well as you wannabe left wing lawyers on Fab Guys? "

So now you don’t only know everything about what’s happening in the UK, but you can speak for the rest of the entire world? That’s extraordinary.

It’s even more remarkable that the rest of the world happens to exactly agree with you!!!

Wild.

They don't have the same restrictions as we have.

You mean they exist in a "post truth" country, where provided they agree with the president they can say pretty much whatever they want no matter how much it twists or distorts the truth?

Why not have a listen to Russia's English channels or Pakistans?

We have a free society and Lucy Connolly had slightly better options for "early release" that Fred West.

Technically there is no such thing as “free speech” because there are other _aws that restrict things. So for example if you spread accusations that are untrue then you commit slander (if spoken) or libel (if written) and you can be prosecuted as has happened to the twit organising this march (who then got locked up for refusing to apologise for it - contempt of court). Also saying things to incite violence against others is an offence (as the women who tweeted about the immigrants hotels which caused some nut jobs to try and set fire to the building). Even freedom of expression has its limits when it may breach other _aws or incite criminal acts, probably one of the reasons why PA was proscribed because of the damage to the military transport planes (they couldn’t be done under Treason act [not against the crown or trying to overthrow the government] or sabotage [as they were not agents of a foreign power]), so they were proscribed so any further actions like that means they will be classed as terrorists. So as you can see there are limits, you can’t just say or do whatever you like.

That’s a bit like saying I like dogs - hitler liked dogs, that doesn’t mean you have to agree with what he did.

There are other organisations that support and campaign for our service personnel without trying to spread hatred towards others.

Those tend to be attended by peaceful people of all ages and the policing is really needed for rightwing counter protests. Not 100% on either side of course, and I'm sure there will be people attending today who think they're there for sensible and peaceful protest but the platform speakers will no doubt do some rabblerousing anyway.

I noticed that as well. The majority of the crowd seem to be there with genuine concerns that they wish to express, and they should not be lumped in with the minority of troublemakers and rent-a-mouths.

I have no intention of attending myself, and although I am increasingly concerned with uncontrolled immigration, I am also very much against racism, islamaphobia and the violence and vitriol often directed towards these people.

Yeah there are a lot of twats on this march . But so are there on the other march at same time.

Here there as are loads of families just fed up with how Britain is being run and how benefit slags are getting away with every payment when workers are having to pay and sell house to get sick parent into care home.

Donr judge all just because tommy twats are organising this March..look over the fence and see who is running the other march to and you will see some real hate language on both sides of fence.

This is modern torn Britain im afraid. 🙁

"Anyone on here going? "

Tommy Robinson who was born in Ireland and has family that were members of PIRA Active Servis Units, is not Right Wing, nor is he a British patriot.

He is an ADHD suffering guy with violent tendancies that originally earned his living as a drug dealer.

He is also a cocaine addict, employed by several Zionist organisations to attack Muslims and promote the hatred of Muslims in British society.

The end goal of his paymasters is to turn public opinion against Muslims thus making enough Britons willing to support a war against Iran.

Everytime Yaxley Lennon is arrested his fellow Zionists set up appeals to help dear old Tommy.

He makes millions from short stays in UK prisons and slthough he has not worked in over 20 years he has expensive properties in Israel, Spain, Cyprus.

The idiots that follow him view him as a natiinal hero and send money to him from their dole money and pensions.

The only truly Right Wing Party or movement in Great Britain is The Christian Nationalist Party, headed by Jaydah Fransen, suppirted by Ulster and Scottish Uniindists, advised by Nick Griffin.

Miss Fransen is a genuine Right Winger and a Genuine Reformist Christian. She actually works for a living as a para-legal.

All this Left and Right drivvel has lost its meaning. Like calling someone Fascist or Marxist. They are meaningless words.

That's bullshit, the majority of the marchers are middle-of-the-road, everyday people with no axe to grind against gays, just fed up with Government innaction and unregulated immigration.

Many of them are apolitical as well, not 'far right' as many like to portray them. Christian Fundamental issues and the right to bear arms are not of concern to the majority.

"Hope the Water cannons are on standby

Err I think that bozo the clowns water cannons were sold for scrap - just another of his great waste of taxpayers money.

That wasn't his fault, it was Theresa May who failed to authorise their use when she was Home Secretary.

I guess that’s one way of viewing it, or maybe he bought them either not knowing or not caring ( not his money) that they are not legally allowed to be used on the UK.

Another maybe is that May saw a political opportunity against her main rival to become the next leader of the Conservative Party."

What? This will screw him over…I will stop the mayor of London from being able to soak londoners… that will play well in the rest of the country.

Nation heaves a sigh of indifference…

"Anyone from the LGBTQ+ community supporting these marches are supporting the people who want to see them eradicated. Yes, that means you bicurious, bisexual, homoflexible, fab-straight guys too. If you support this nonsense you are supporting a regime that was push you back into the shadows.

That's bullshit, the majority of the marchers are middle-of-the-road, everyday people with no axe to grind against gays, just fed up with Government innaction and unregulated immigration.

Many of them are apolitical as well, not 'far right' as many like to portray them. Christian Fundamental issues and the right to bear arms are not of concern to the majority."

Well said _tar33.

"So, are we all in favour of shooting rightwing agitators?

Jesus

Where did anyone say that?

Oh wait… they didn’t

Your reading skills are adequate.

Pity you don't do implication.

🤣

Very good.

That’s as much as admitting you are projecting.

We can move on, nothing to see here.

Projection - that's a good old Guardian word. As in projecting the actions of a nutter like Tommy onto perfectly legitimate protesters with moderately un-Guardian opinions. As in assuming violence is a purely rightwing phenomenon.

Nice to see your reaction. LOL.

The bloke who shot a 31 year old Christian husband and father of two young kids wasn’t right wing he was a left wing nutter

I will just leave that here , who are the criminals ?"

Christian..? Just because he proclaimed himself to be Christain doesn't mean to say that,he was actually a Christian.

Having read some transcripts of speeches that he made, his statements were at odds with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Out of curiosity and also being genuinely interested in what the other side has to say (really, I am; it's why I also read the unutterable drivel that was Atlas Shrugged), I probably did a good two or three hours watching the live streams.

The first several hours (I'll admit to skipping a lot of this) was people walking about in London draped in flags and getting wet.

Then I got to the actual speeches. Not sure if I missed Katie Hopkins because I had to skip a chunk due to chatting with my son about the gender reveal scan of my first grandkid, which seemed rather more important.

It was all a bit shambolic wasn't it? I wonder if Tommeh has done himself any favours inviting the faithful to watch him prance about in a haze, screaming himself hoarse and occasionally switching to descant with passion. With a pub band providing the musical interludes and a similarly chemically dissociated Elon Musk wibbling on about nothing in particular.

I was particularly amused by the poster reading Sadiq Kahn (sic) Is A Sleeper Agent. Yes, somebody presumably of an extreme anti-Islamic bent actually gave their nemesis a Jewish surname. You couldn't make it up.

Bet Blake's spinning in his grave over their desecration of Jerusalem as well.

This may seem odd to those who might see me as wokest and leftiest of the woke left, but I actually love that song and it makes me well up. But not out of xenophobia cosplaying patriotism, it's from a genuine sense of having been incredibly fortunate to have been born in the country greatest in spirit in the world despite its many f_aws. I love Britain and I cannot stand these idiots with only a flag and inarticulate hate to lean on.

Wait until the piper changes the tune. The Austrian painter started with the communists, but didn't finish with them.

They are right about some things.

British law is secular and should applied without fear or favour. If things like the grooming gangs ethnicities were covered up out of over-sensitivity to racial harmony issues, that's wrong.

Extreme Islamic ideas like Sharia law, honour killings etc have no place in Britain. We have secular civil and criminal _aws for good reason: we aren't a middle ages theocracy. They also happen to be why people like Tommeh and Lucy Connolly get banged up; again, no fear or favour and if you're inciting violence that's what it is and you pay the price and do the time.

The Christian nationalist overtones of the march, with their invited American right figures and hagiography of Kirk already, worries me. The US is sleepwalking fast into a Christo-fascist state where dissent or difference, diversity etc will become illegal. Does anybody really want that here? Because you may as well have fucking Shari'a law if that's where you're going, they're birds of a different feather but the same under the skin: intolerant and cruel.

The irony of them bleating about freedom of speech is that it's a western liberal idea. Fundy churches of all faiths have a piss-poor track record when it comes to executing heretics, human rights etc.

What about the left-wing counter protesters? They are there to cause aggravation and incite violence. Right-wingers cannot peacefully protest without the far left being there to cause civil unrest.

Reminder as we're on a gay website.

It's not just Muslim fundamentalists who'd chuck gay men off of towers. Westboro Baptist and plenty of other Christian fundy churches would too, because their reading of their book says so.

I thought there were 2 smart things today.

1. Bringing on a big video feed of Elon Musk.

2. Showing support after the dreadful murder of Charlie Kirk.

They are winning a lot of friends over in the USA, with money and power.

There's a lot more detail on this using the usual channels.

Also, how many of the 5 million/half a million/110,000 depending on whose propaganda you believe actually got to witness the shambles up close and personal with their hero on a minor festival stage chucked together on a London street with shit sound and a half arsed running order.

As Nuremberg rallies go it wasn't very good really was it? Sadly Tommeh has nobody with the talents of Albert Speer or Leni Riefenstahl to make him look good.

Yep. All this thread does is highlight the people who one way or another hold deep racist views. This march was not about free speech, it was about showcasing how much deeply ingrained racism is still present in the UK. If you supported this march you were not reading between the lines, you were just there for the "immigration is bad" highlights. For that reason you can go fuck yourselves.
