as a Yorkshire man by birth, the correct way is just Yorkshire's on their own with gravy, then the other food afterwards, the reason being is that eating the Yorkshire's first means the rest of the food can be made to go further, Yorkshire frugality lol x

If its what you're cooking it's what you are cooking. However, in ny house a Yorkie usually goes with roast beef and horseradish.

Sage and onion stuffing for chicken.

As an aside, I'm useless at roast spuds, but a foolproof alternative is to sautee them (parboil, quarter and fry). Use Maris Piper, which are made for this.

Have Yorkshire puddings with what ever you like so long as you enjoy it - if anyone comments on it just say it is a Fusion meal 🫢

Its to be hoped so, because this weeks roast was chicken, and I've just had 2 7 incher puddings before the main course.

Yorkshire Pudding can be served with anything one wants - all these food police saying what goes with what are just pretentious twats.

The worse ones are those who try and dictate what should or should not go on a pizza.

Being a Yorkshire man brought up in heavy industrial south Yorkshire.

A yorkie pudding was served up solo first with thick gravy and brown sauce. I used to save half to have with dinner filled with a mix of my dinner

When I was a lad we couldn’t afford luxuries like Yorkshire pudding with a roast, we just used to have a Jammy Dodger dipped in us gruel.
