Europe on the cusp. What golf fan was truly expecting us to be this far in front going into singles Sunday?

I'm not really interested in golf but after seeing the way the Americans are behaving on the news, I'm delighted to see they're getting their arses absolutely handed to them. 🤣

Glad the USA are being beaten as badly as they are, the crowds are awful

Love the Ryder Cup. I’ve watched the last 10, fortunate to have gone to a couple. The spectators have got this horribly wrong. The organisers have got it horribly wrong. It’s $750 per day for a standard ticket. American culture dictates value for money. They’ve been humiliated. To see Rory and others telling fans to “shut the fuck up” tells you how badly wrong this version has gone.

It’s good to see the European team hand the American’s a lesson in The USA!!

How much worse is the crowd’s behaviour this year than in Rome last time?

The American crowds are always bad but they seem to be outdoing themselves this year plus the American team itself aren’t playing as a team it’s as if they’re playing for themselves which is what they did last time

Backfired on usa crowd..telling someone " you can't do" something only motivates them ...

Paying the USA has also lessened the Americans motivation

Sounds like everyone is happy. The crowd gets to yell abuse, the Americans are coining it in and Europe walks away with the trophy and a sense of superiority.

I thought the yanks would put up abit of a fight but they've just fizzled out in every match they've taken a lead in!

Also Fleetwood and Rose are playing some exceptional golf.

agreed, loved the way rose scolded the USA caddy for walking onto green whilst trying to line up his putt

Do they still shout "GET IN THE HOLE!" after a putt, then "AMERICA FUCK YEAH!" if it goes in?

I quite like watching golf... but not this abusive foul mouthed version! Who let the footy hooligans in? The organizers need to get a grip of this... or the Ryder Cup will be finished!

They shout “GitH” when their man is hitting his Tee Shot….. on a Par 5 ! Imbeciles.

2 cans of Bud Light at $16 each and they get double shouty. Twats !

Watched yesterday and got to say that’s the worst I’ve seen the crowd yet. The Americans out way too much pressure on their players. If they hole a put the fans scream with joy, if the out misses but it’s still been a great effort the American fans are almost deadly silent. They’ve always been the same in the Ryder cup but as has been said they’ve outdone themselves this year. Get behind your players and go to support ( as well as watch the European Masterclass

This is all excellent background material so I can chat knowledgeably with my golf-obsessed colleagues tomorrow without having watched an actual second of the deadly dull game

These guys are under 30 FFS. Why do they play golf? I mean they don't even own Volvos yet. Beats the fuck outta me.

USA were never a team. They are great individuals thrown together. It was expected that they would do far better in the singles than anything else, and that’s why Europe needed a big lead going into it.

Europe will probably have just enough to win it, but it will be close.

Will only be a matter of time! Also hilarious to see the crowd heading home on mass the moment they lose.

I did note that the head of the USA PGA congratulated us on retaining the Cup. Not that I’m a pedant but I believe that we won it.

What a disgrace watching the American fans walking out off the course before the match has even finished. You’ve got to feel for the American players who really came out fighting in the final day. Who’d want American supporters eh
