"Well it is partly a failing of the options available on profiles on the site. Smoke is a binary tick box yes or no question, it doesn’t take into account people who Vape. I used Vapes to stop smoking and haven’t had a Cigarette in getting on for 4 years now so I am classed as a non-smoker now by the doctors. Mind you, I don’t expect there will be any Change on the site to reflect this as I can’t think of a single suggested change from their customers that had been taken onboard and implemented." All they have to do is change one line of text from “Smoker:” to “Smoker / Vaper:”. While vaping is less offensive than smoking, and technically different, to non-smokers it amounts to the same thing. | |||

" There's definitely a minimalist approach by the site owners. The feedback thread seems to be more of a tick box exercise than any sort of actual feedback being listened too. | |||

I’ll stick with what I’m told by the doctor. If they have a separate category for Vape I’ll gladly state that, as I will anyone who asks me. But there is a difference between Smoking and Vaping (some people will not meet smokers but will meet vape users), and this needs to be clear on the profile. | |||

In my defence, we had been messaging back and forth, and their standard of communication (which is, I find, usually a reliable benchmark) far outweighed their standards of presentation and cleanliness. Granted, it’s a lesson that I failed to learn, despite previous experiences, but rest assured it’s not happening again. | |||

The times I've read guys complaining about misinformation in profiles, then end with "fucked him anyway" That's what these guys rely on, guys who don't have standards and they'll keep doing this shit as long as there's no consequences to their BS. | |||
