I pulled into a lay-by yesterday that’s known for dogging meets. I did a slow drive by to see if I could get eye contact with any of the guys parked up. That still relies on someone having the nerve to approach your car. Going into the woods gives them the opportunity to follow with the excuse they are going for a pee if they have misread the signs.
