Trump's "statement" on Rob Reiner's death

His Truth Social post has unsurprisingly gone viral. I can't link it as obviously I don't subscribe to that festering pile of manure but have seen screen grabs and read it.

How anybody can think that this pathetic, paranoid and fragile excuse of a fleshbag is even a human, never mind mentally fit for the highest office in the world just baffles me.

It's hardly news that he reacts badly to criticism, but to make a statement on a beloved director's tragic death and make it all about himself, with all his frankly pathetic animus towards everybody and anybody who's ever criticised him ... it's difficult to put it into words other than what my grandfather would have said: "if you don't have anything nice or appropriate to say, keep your damn mouth shut".

There's no need to respond to this in terms of wider policies or politics. I just want to express what a vile, pathetic excuse for a human being Trump is.

Trump's latest self-serving eructation may be found on the current Independent page, for students of pathological narcissism.

What a truly loathsome POS Trump is, and how little he resembles the vast majority of Americans.

Also, well played with the whataboutery.

Incidentally, the orange shitbag didn't invent the "derangement syndrome" meme. It was first used by supporters of Tony Blair...same pathology, but more smiley.

"Trump is the face of capitalism.

It's not really that though. I DK believe it's bully-trauma psychosis writ large. Everybody knows his father was a shit bag who was probably vile to him, and now even at an age where most people would have moved past it decades ago and found some peace, he's still so fragile and lashes out like a fucked-up teenager at every perceived slight, and is incapable of being an adult.

Studies will be written on this in years to come when people can look back on it dispassionately.

Sadly there's a significant majority of voting Americans who put him back in the Whitehouse.

I long ago ran out of pejoratives for him. He is a stain on the world

Trumps new ballroom at the moment is a pile of rubble lets hope it doesnt go the way of his other building enterprises. The architect disagreed with Trumps requierments so he sacked him. The pile of rubble is an apt metaphore for his goverments ongoing way of behaving.

That the son probably ran amok with the filleting knife because pops was a vocal critic of trumps.

That said before trump leaves office he can always pardon the lad

From sky new..

US president said in a post on Truth Social that Reiner was "a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star".

Mr Trump said Reiner and his wife died "reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS".

"He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before. May Rob and Michele rest in peace," Mr Trump wrote.

trump is a piece of sh*t.

There is a distinction between the manner in which a president communicates with the public and how we engage in public discourse, particularly in a casual setting.

I disagree, we are free to speak up against Trump as he come across as a vile narcissistic idiot.

It may not make any difference to his legitimacy as president of America, but its our view.

Starmer if prime minister for till 2029 but many think he shouldn't be.

Its a point of view.

The orange excrescence has just "defended" his revolting opinion. He continues to say that Reiner and his wife were stabbed "because" they had Trump Derangement Syndrome*

Perhaps we should read that as a threat to others who disagree with the tumour on America's body politic, though. As an instruction to Trump-worshippers everywhere. As something culled from "The Sopranos", maybe. Or a steal from the Putin playbook?

The ultimate in sad narcissism surely has to be inventing a capitalised term referencing yourself, attempting to legitimise it as something you like to imagine may one day appear in the DSM (but never will of course, as strangely enough psychologists are educated to see through this sort of self-aggrandising bullshit).

The only "syndrome" on display here is NPD.

There is absolutely no issue in Trump saying he didn’t like him. He can even say he doesn’t care he died. He doesn’t have to. But for Trump to claim he died because he didn’t like Trump is obscene.

You can still love Trump if you like. You can still think he’s a great president. But if you can’t see that what Trump said about Reiner, regardless of your political view, is a cunty thing to say I’m afraid that also makes you a bit of a cunt.
