"Reform are paying for the boat people to come here so they can win the next election. "

Somewhat counterintuitive.

Immigrants from poor countries tend to vote for left of centre parties.

Hence the porous US-Mexico border when the Democrats were in office, and why, going back to 1965, Democrat Ted Kennedy pushed through the Immigration and Nationality Act, which ensured immigration from poor countries, rather than from mainly Northern European ones, which had previously been the case.

It's also why Labour under Tony Blair opened up the UK's borders to all and sundry.

Both the Democrats and Labour have been striving to engineer demographic change in their favour.

There's another conspiracy theory for you, albeit a fairly obvious one.

Oh, it's worse than that! The BBC are actually CONTROLLING the weather, using rockets packed with chemicals! Didn't you know?

Seriously ... you need to get over your puerile tantrum, and grow up. You're 57, so time is short.

On this issue, the BBC can't win: people like you won't allow it. There is always a margin of error in predictions of weather, and following the "Michael Fish incident*", there was a tendency for forecasts to veer towards presenting the worst case.

This is IMO very sensible. On an individual level, the harm done by a pessimistic forecast is merely a lot of people exercising an undue degree of caution, while that that done by an optimistic one can leave people exposed to severe weather events while being unprepared for it.

Not everyone agrees. In recent years there has been a chorus of yapping and whining from municipal authorities, mostly in seaside towns, who blame the "Michael Fish Effect" for a loss of income from tourists who stay away from their cities when the forecast is bad. They're probably on the side of the horse's arse who was elected as Mayor in countless Jaws movies.

To whom i say: "Fuck You All: Suck It Up."

That certainly wasn't the findings of Operation Paget, carried out by Sir John Stevens, and the subsequent inquest.

The jury came to the verdict that Diana and Fayed were unlawfully killed as a result of "gross negligence" of the driver Henri Paul and the paparazzi. Contributing factors cited included "the impairment of the judgment of the driver of the Mercedes Henri Paul through alcohol" and that "the deceased was not wearing a seatbelt".

There are only four actual languages: English, French, German and Spanish.

All the other so-called languages are just people going "bladda wadda scadda nadda ..." to one another, with no meaning.

Think about it. When you go on holiday to all these exotic places around the world the locals have an uncanny ability to speak English when they're trying to sell you something.

"Yorkshire tea is not grow in Yorkshire "

That isn't a conspiracy lol "Yorkshire Tea" refers to the brand and blend of the tea.

Tea is mostly grown in warmer climates, naturally Britain's isn't really suitable, but our avid tea drinking comes from our imperial past and importing it from abroad.

Some of the brand names of tea originate from the original importers if it.

Did you know the supermarket chain "Tesco" is an abbreviation of T.S. Stockwell, an importer of tea!

"The Royal family had Diana killed

No, it's more sinister than that

Mohamed Al Fayed, accused Prince Phillip of that from the start, & never gave up until he died

Yep still to this day I say Prince Phillip had her killed

That certainly wasn't the findings of Operation Paget, carried out by Sir John Stevens, and the subsequent inquest.

The jury came to the verdict that Diana and Fayed were unlawfully killed as a result of "gross negligence" of the driver Henri Paul and the paparazzi. Contributing factors cited included "the impairment of the judgment of the driver of the Mercedes Henri Paul through alcohol" and that "the deceased was not wearing a seatbelt".

That’s exactly what the “establishment “ want us all to believe "

You're correct, they want people to believe it because it's the truth.

It was alleged that Cambridge Analytica, a British firm, harvested Facebook data without consent and used it for political adverts, including Brexit and US elections,it was initially brushed off as an unsubstantiated conspiracy theory, however subsequent investigations confirmed gross data misuse in 2018, leading to heavy penalties and reforms in data handling.

The National Lottery and other lotteries have been rilunnung for 31 years, the population of the UK is 67 million, supposedly one or two people have been winning once a week, where are they all? Has anyone ever actually known or met anyone who's won it?

"The earth is flat lol

There's a story about FES that shines a light on how these "theories" work.

Someone - with "scientific" skills - set up an expensive experiment with lasers and mirrors, that he was convinced would prove conclusively that the Earth is flat.

When he'd done it, he analysed the results; they showed that the Earth is round. You can probably guess what happened next: he announced that the experiment was flawed, and he needed to do further work to correct the errors in his testing.

The search goes on ... The Truth Is Out There

31 years x 52 weeks x 2 winners is only 3,224 which is less than 0.005% of the population. Not unlikely that you have never met any of them.

========================================

Especially as anyone with any sense who has just won £20 million knows what will happen if they publicise their win. Relays of postal staff carrying begging letters, constant phone calls from relatives and "friends" they never knew they had, and real possibility of robbery & k*dnap.

The very first thing they will do is move to somewhere very private, and develop a cover story ... company owner, dentist, solicitor, stockbroker ... to explain their prosperity.

In the late 19th century, a wild theory emerged suggesting Prince Albert Victor, the Duke of Clarence, grandson of Queen Victoria, was actually Jack the Ripper. It claimed the establishment covered up his crimes to avoid a massive scandal and damage to the reputation of the Royals. Those who believed this pointed to the Prince's "erratic" behaviour and rumours he had syphilis as proof he was capable of the murders. The Prince died at age 28 in 1892, officially from pneumonia. Though the theory gained traction in the 1970s thanks to a few true-crime books, historians today don't take it seriously, viewing it as a classic conspiracy theory.

I am not saying she was by the way but really yes she died in a car accident but that's a very good way create a death with less obvious signs there have been hundreds of murders made to look like a crash but you have a lot of recreations etc. the lack of transparency on the investigation is the thing that causes people to question it.

Not sure that that theory was mooted in the late 19th century. Heard it was much later. However it has been proved that Prince Albert Victor [who would incidentally had become king had he lived] had cast iron alibis for the time of each murder and was actually hundreds of miles away on each occasion, including dining with his grandmother.

"

I worked on the investigation, partly authored the report, and was very much involved in the inquest.

Considering she died on foreign soil, and that the French do things in a different way, everything was as transparent as it could be. The lead investigator was Sir John Stevens who would never have bowed to pressure from above, no matter who it came from.

Key Details of the Inquest

Coroner: The inquest was overseen by the senior judge Lord Justice Scott Baker.

Verdict: On April 7, 2008, the jury returned a majority verdict of "unlawful killing".

Contributing Factors: The jury cited several contributing factors to the fatal crash:

The impairment of the driver Henri Paul's judgment through alcohol.

The excessive speed of the Mercedes car.

The deceased were not wearing seatbelts.

The reckless driving of the paparazzi in pursuit.

Scope: The purpose of the British inquest was to determine who died, when, where, and how, not to attribute criminal blame in a way a trial would.

Conspiracy Theories: The coroner instructed the jury that there was no evidence to support conspiracy theories that Prince Philip or MI6 had ordered the deaths. These theories had been extensively promoted by Mohamed Al Fayed, Dodi's father.

Previous Investigation: The British inquest followed a three-year Metropolitan Police investigation, known as Operation Paget, which had also concluded the deaths were a tragic accident caused by a combination of speed and an intoxicated driver.

Upon the death of Queen Anne, the last Stuart monarch, the crown passed to George I who was something like 54th in line to the throne. All those in between excluded because they were Catholic. The Stuart line actually died out the the death of Bonny Prince Charlie's younger brother Henry 'Duke of York', and the nominal 'claimant' now would be a Bavarian prince.
