Anyone else suffering?

Just don't seem to have any get-up-and-go, can't get back into work, and no energy for anything else.

Thought I'd come on here and chat, look at all your gorgeous cocks and bods, but not even that is helping.

Yeah, I seem to often feel “blue” in January.

Although this year, the combination of tricky weather and a recent change of personal circumstances isn’t helping

I used to feel this way in January, I now make sure through Autumn and winter that I have a high dose of vitamin d, much higher than you'll get anywhere from the high street, I also take other clean vits and I am flying with energy and positivity.

If you'd like the link for the website, message me I will let you know the details, I am not anything to do with the company or associated.

You've heard it all before diet and excersise also helps, if nothing else but gives you a focus on these dark days even if its getting out and having a brisk walk. Moreover please talk to someone if you are really struggling and need help xx

Yup. This is God telling me to hibernate...or move on, there's nothing to see here. Particularly so if you're on your own, of course. But by the end of January, interest usually begins to return.

Oh...and...don't even look at the news. Just don't. Paint kittens, study quantum mechanics, but IGNORE THE FUCKING NEWS.

As an absolute last resort, shooting an optimist can help....

Most years i am the same (and been like it since 14) my mood goes down in the Autumn. January is probably the worst month, but although it does not seem like it, it is getting lighter already. Hang on in there. Not long now. It goes in cycles and you will feel better again x

Yes, I'm the same, and always have been this time of year, but will get better.

There is a condition called

S.A.D - Seasonal Affected Disorder! Affects people during Autumn and Winter months. Causes depression etc mostly just during those months. There is a light box you look into for a couple of hours each day. It's been proven to lift mood!

Getting out in natural daylight, going for a walk etc can help. I used to use a light box which some SAD sufferers find helpful. I also purchased an aroma stone a few years ago and use it to vaporise antidepressant essential oils such as bergamot, clary sage, geranium, lavender, Melissa, Neroli, Patchouli, Rose and Ylang Ylang.

My SAD light wakes me up every morning.

Lack of daylight is debilitating especially if there is a low barometric pressure as well.

SAD is also related to shorter sleeping time in Summer.

A friend of mine who also suffer with SAD use one of those, and she find it really helpful. It's all due to circadian rhythms apparently. I recently read about studies they are doing on circadian rhythms and bipolar disorder.

Unfortunately we are short on sun this time of year, we should be taking high dose vitamin D. Research vitamin D its essential for everything. 100% will help but need high dose.

I take vitamin D3 supplement all year round, even in Summer. It does have to be taken with K2 though to be absorbed into the body. When I had my well man check last year my vitamin D levels was in normal range. My sister though who was deficient, and was prescribed a vitamin D supplement by her GP, no less, and took it for months, but still tested deficient, and could not understand why? When I told her about the K2 combination, and she took the supplement I do, her levels then tested as normal.
