"I’m at a loss to explain exactly why I’m gay, I suppose I don’t have all the male genes, I tried marriage to a female, but always have, and always will enjoy sex with guys " And there it is. You do have all your male genes. There will be some on here who, quite rightly, won't like the implication that to be gay you have to be not completely male.

"Despite the general societal labels, our individual sexuality is peculiar and unique to us and is shaped by a complex mix of nature, nurture, and life experiences. Genetics, hormones, thoughts, feelings, upbringing, relationships, and society all play a part, shaping who we're attracted to and how we express ourselves." Well said…X

"I’m pansexual. When I’m with a man. I’m totally there’s for the duration of the meet 100%. A guy can do anything he wants to me. He can ask me questions. But it all about being able to have fun and knowing how to handle it. I’m very happily married to a wonderful woman. Our sex life is one to be envied. She knows all about my gay side, I tell her everything. Her biggest kink, is watching me with men. She’s a bisexual woman who enjoys the girls. She loves multiple cock. So as a in love couple. We enjoy our cake and totally eat it. " You're not gay then, and you dont have a gay side. You're bi and you have a bi side.

No straight forward answer - no pun intended.

"It appears to be related to genetics; however, I still find it challenging to comprehend. If I do not disclose that I am gay or bisexual, geneticists would not be able to ascertain my identity." So why are identical twins not either both gay or straight. I know of two pairs where one is gay and the other straight.

"No reason. I just am. I don't need to analyse my brain to work it out. My body responds to what turns me on. Same fore for me. The sad thing is that it took me So long and so many changes of direction before I found the me I now am happy with

"I’m at a loss to explain exactly why I’m gay, I suppose I don’t have all the male genes, I tried marriage to a female, but always have, and always will enjoy sex with guys " Well I think I have all the male genes because I am not in the least effeminate and like doing all the things straight men do except have sex with women. Why am I gay? Absolutely no idea. I just am and are more than happy that I am. Just wish I was getting more sex.

"Despite being born to heterosexual parents, raised in a heterosexual household. Heterosexuality being portrayed as usual on Tv and films, no positive gay role models around me or available to meet, I knew I was attracted to masculine men. Not the effeminate parodies on Tv. Women just had no attraction. So some would put it down to bloody mindedness. Some sort of rebellion. I think it’s a bit much to have anal sex and fight for equal rights just to piss off my parents. " Ditto that type of upbringing. Nowadays it seems every family has at least 1 gay in it, we're bloody everywhere and thank God for it!

"Barbara and Alan Pease are Australian specialists and have found that the mother delivers the foetus a hit of testosterone shortly after conception. Big hit - manly men and tendency to be lesbian in women. Vice versa for low hit. Most gay men know they have been gay since young. Sadly, many don’t accept it and fight against their feelings. I always knew - just took a while to begin to fully enjoy it…" But they are not specialists in genetics, biology, fetal studies or chemistry. They just cited the testosterone levels research in their book. Sure, you can study in-utero testosterone levels and make predictions about sexual orientation but not with any certainty.

Women just had no attraction. So some would put it down to bloody mindedness. Some sort of rebellion. I think it’s a bit much to have anal sex and fight for equal rights just to piss off my parents. " Exactly the same here. If gays were ever mentioned when I was a youngster, it was with derision or ridicule. During the only 'sex lesson' we had at school, gays were dismissed as being either transsexuals or paedos. Could also have been put off being gay by witnessing a raid on a gents toilet when 4 men got arrested and prosecuted. I was playing football in the adjacent park with a cousin at the time. Also our 'charming' postman, who mother often gave a cup of tea, got sent to prison for 'doing things' with underage boys. In my 20s I tried to 'straighten' myself out through peer pressure, but it didn't work. Liked girls as people but felt nothing whatsoever sexually towards them. Why I am gay is a mystery but I am very happy to be gay.

"I can’t decide why I am gay? And that is threat to my life" It's a mixture of your biology and your life experience. That's what has resulted in you being gay. Unless you consciously decided to be gay at some fixed point in your life, you will never be able to pin down the exact variables that have caused you to be this way. That is your answer.

"It's complex. I'm basically a 9.9 out of 10 on the gay scale. I've had sex with one woman, loved and married her, could always make her cum multiple times and the sex was very enjoyable and satisfying. But it wasn't enough. I always wanted male sex and relationship, and had experienced that very young before the straight relationship. So I guess lots here would say I'm bi. But i wouldn't dream of defining as bi. I'm gay. Always was. As to why I'm fundamentally gay, you might as well ask why my eyes are green or little toes curl under. It's just the way I'm made. " And I should have said the marriage ended when I was 22. I've been in a happy gay relationship for over 10 years. We have no sex at all but it's still gay and my best relationship ever. FG is purely for physical release. See, it's still complex.
